Budget Inn Barstow

Great front desk. For the price, this property is good. I stay in motels frequently (all over California). There are other motels in the area which allow drugs, alcohol, loitering, etc. I know this because I could see these activities from across the street. I chose this motel because of the solid reviews online. The room was quiet, which is highly highly important. There weren’t guests making a bunch of noise, slamming doors, talking loudly, etc. Towels were clean. Shower was clean. I bring my own blanket, so for me, their blanket was not great (you get what you pay for). The toiletries are bargain/basic options. Breakfast was muffins, cereal, bread options, fruit, drinks, etc. No hot options. Again, sufficient and in line with the price. I paid $50.62 all in for a Tuesday night reservation that was made the day of, which is an excellent price in comparison to other cities I’ve stayed in. I will stay here again.

The Ice Machine was out of order and the coffee was awful. Room was very clean and property was nice.

The front office staff was amazingly helpful even during a late night check in. Extraordinarily nice and made sure we were comfortable during a brief stay.

I love how spacious the room I had

Old furnishings need updated. Expensive room (to me) for the quality.

It took about 5-6 hours to get room down to 76*, Air running non stop. It was a small unit. They knew they had a reservation they could have turned on the air at 8am (for 4 pm check-in) when the outdoor temps were still 70*'s. And used less electricity. Had a microwave and fridge, fridge was HOT because unplugged, ( again to save money). But did work when plugged in. Expedia post, Sign out at street, and sign in lobby said Breakfast served 7am -9am. At 7:15 am lobby was locked, there was no breakfast, Not even any coffee, that tells me they stopped serving breakfast a long time ago. I went out for breakfast. ROOM: Walls had good paint, wood laminate floors and nicely remolded bathroom!!! All furniture dated, worn, falling apart, headboard for double bed on wall behind a Queen bed. Over all 3 / 5 rating. Would have gotten a 0.5 more if they had coffee in the lobby. Can forgive for no breakfast,, but not the coffee. Out side area on main st not the best area. Face it,, Theres about 20 dive motels on main st. I don't see this place surviving for more then 2 more years. Sad, you can see they are trying. I would stay here again.

This was a fantastic motel for the price. It was very clean and the bedroom/bathroom were both spacious. Breakfast was simple but still appreciated. The staff were all friendly. I stayed a total of 8 nights in Barstow and split my time between this motel and the Route 66 Motel. While the Route 66 Motel looks much cooler from the outside, the room at Budget Inn was far superior and significantly cheaper. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely choose this place again. It seemed to be in a rougher part of town with a good bit of homeless and drug users surrounding the area. This isn’t the property’s fault though. I still felt safe and nothing happened to my classic sports car for 4 days parked there.

Air conditioning unit was making too much noise

Una de las toallas estaba mal lavada aun tenia manchas de sangre , el piso estaba muy sucio , pague 3 noches y tenia la habitacion solo un rollo de papel y uno apunto de terminarse , en la recervacion decia desayuno incluido y solo pusieron cafe , begos ,pan de sanwish , margarina queso y jalea, cereal , leche y un galon de refresco artificial apunto de terminarse ( eso no es desayuno eso es un snack no es desayuno ) llegue en la tarde el dia siguiente fui a segun yo a desayunar y me encontre con eso fui a la habitacion y agarre mi vaso termico y regrese a agarrar cafe llene mi vaso y me fui a comprar desayuno el dia siguiente fui nuevamente con mi vaso solo a agarrar cafe y el señor me dijo no no no !!! no puedes agarrar cafe en ese vaso es muy grande yo solo le dije ok y en mi mente dije como es posible esta persona tan pedante me diga eso cuando solo cafe estoy agarrando en un vaso de 12 onzas cuando en la reservacion dice que hay desayuno incluido definitivamente no recomiendo ese lugar si usted piensa que va a desayunar ahi si usted se queda en ese lugar baya con su mente que tiene que salir a comprar su desayuno afuera y que el hombre que atiende es muy grosero al decirle algo ai usted agarra algo extra

Great stay for a great price. It has become my go to place in between AZ & CA drives. Nothing.

It was good. I thought the plants that were there were well maintained.

This is a remodeled old drive motel. It is extremely clean and the bed is comfortable. The area seems a little sketchy, due to other property across the street, but it is totally safe. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. There arent any soaps or shampoos, but the water is hot and has strong pressure. i would stay here again and again. One of the cleanest rooms ive ever stayed in and the great price makes it even better!

Cleanliness was not amazing. Shower was old and there is definitely a mold/moisture issue. Area isn’t particularly safe.
