Motel 6 Bellingham, WA

I could go on about Motel 6, but instead want to say that Bay City Inn is just wonderful, and the room is just lovely and spacious, comfortable, and spotless. And the staff so friendly and helpful. As for the Check-In process, it was cumbersome, also disorganized, and laughable. I almost cancelled on the spot but had travelled across country, it was 11pm, and I was exhausted . . .

Pool Had to pay for shampoo and extra toilet paper. the fan in the room didn’t work according to temp and made a bad noise. Looked as if someone had explosive fecal matters in the shower. The toilet was hyper aggressive. Seemed more like a half away house. And the owner manipulated us and told us booking was bad and downgraded our room to a double full instead of a double queen. No room other than the beds. The owners had a party at the pool and ignored us when we needed towels, also had their semi-odd behaved dog off leash around the property. Might as well have been laying on the freeway it was so loud.

First of all it's very loud if you stay on the side of the motel that's 5 ft away from i-5, then they want you to pay for shampoo and for soap, the shower was absolutely filthy, the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, and the toilet seat was broken and the toilet clogged just from sticking a piece of toilet paper in it, and then right when I rolled up a hunchback came out of the Shadows asking me if I had a lighter so he can light up his joint and then he proceeded to tell me the story of how his mom was just cremated today so if that's your kind of place go ahead and stay there

Staff was great. Owner is trying to clean up the place. Room was clean and quiet. Enjoyed my stay

The room was clean and comfortable. Service was great and it is closely located next to some good restaurants like Thai on Rice.

It smelled too much of cigarettes; the room was a no-smoking zone, the smell of cigarettes was coming in through the exhaust fan, and the cigarette alarms were disconnected.

The room was supposed to be queen, 1 bed, non-smoking but everything smelled like smoke. The noise and light pollution made it difficult to sleep. We ended up in a room with 2 full beds. Overall, as expected with motel 6. Not great, but not awful. The location was convenient and my limited interaction with staff was good.

The staff was welcoming and checking in was easy. I relaxed and slept comfortably in a clean room, as the AC kept the temperature cool. I love this Motel 6.

Check in was a breeze, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. Couldn't get the A/C on initially and I called the desk and he came and got it going in under 5 minutes and then it worked great for the rest of my stay. Check out was even easier. Location was great. I would stay here again.

the bathroom shower wall was pink and black mold on the tiles and in between and the water from the shower ran all the way over to the toilet. it old noodless left under the bed and there was old blood stains on the white sheets!

I had a comfortable sleep and cool dip in the pool.

The bedding has a hole in it. The washroom is VERY DIRTY. The curtain has stain in it and the smell is awful. The room smells like pee. The air conditioning is not working and its in the middle of the summer. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Room was dirty when we got there. We had to clean the floor and bathroom ourselves when we got in as. The floor was sticky and our feet would look black as though we walked outside in the dirt. House keeping would not knock on the door to see if you needed towels at all. We had to ask for towels at the front desk multiple times just to be met with they were all dirty and in the laundry 3 days in a row. Last day we were there we asked for towels only to end up in an argument with one of the owners being very unprofessional and following us back to the room telling us to be professional or get out. Over towels…then sent his son to talk to us about disrespecting his father but not owning up to his father causing the issue over the towels. Told us they are a motel and will not provide towels when asked but next day and to go to a Hilton if we expected that. Something so basic. We cut our stay short. I’ve never been treated so poorly and would not recommend unless it’s a last resort

The next morning at checkout, a different employee told me the room was a smoking room and that Expedia lists smoking rooms as non‑smoking when the actual non‑smoking rooms are unavailable. I did not appreciate being lied to by the first employee, the strong smoke odor, or the condition of the bathroom. Also, the shower looked so unpleasant that I chose not to use it.

Zero attention to detail in cleaning. Dirty floors, dirt and straw stuck to the wall, hair in the sheets, curtain falling off the window, toilet barely flushed, water pressure in the shower was horrible. I really can’t think of many positive things to say other than there was parking available and I had a roof over my head for the night. Absolutely would not recommend.
