Sehome Garden Inn

The space is so tranquil and relaxing! Great location! The morning biscuits are to die for with the homemade jam! The hosts were so kind and the pet friendly nature of this space just makes you feel at home. If you’re in Bellingham, this is where you want to stay!!

This is a wonderful home on a huge lot in a secluded neighborhood. The mature landscape offers privacy and peace. The room we had is lovely and thoughtfully accessorized with everything we could have needed. There is ample patio seating overlooking the garden and lawns. The property is fully fenced with deer fencing so our dog was able to be outside offleash with us. The resident dog is friendly and social. Our host prepared frittatas and biscuits with homemade jam for breakfast. An added plus was being able to park in a carport next to the house.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The hosts were exceptionally attentive, both before & after my arrival. There wasn't anything I needed and didn't have - in fact, there were amenities provided that I didn't even think I would appreciate. And as an amateur gardener, the inn's grounds are not to be missed. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start the day. My stay was such a relaxing, enjoyable visit with great hosts. I would definitely stay with them again. Everything was great. I have nothing to suggest.

Great hosts, delicious breakfast, peaceful surroundings…it was a nice way to emerge into the Bellingham scene vs staying at a chain hotel. Will be back!

Sehome Gardens is amazing! Walter and Joseph treat you to homemade breakfast (fresh items from their garden) each morning. The site has a historic house, a pond and several unique designed garden areas on the grounds - which are on the backside of the Bellingham Arboretum. Pet friendly too!

It was beautiful, the Japanese aesthetic was calming, there was plenty of space for us and our two kids. The kids loved the lily pond. The breakfast was tasty—there were three types of homemade jams and fresh baked biscuits. And the shower was beautifully designed too. Our hosts were so kind Na

We love staying at true, hosted B&Bs. The kind where the host greets you, offers advice on the area, and provides a real breakfast. This is that, but even better. The hosts greet you like friends, they seem genuinely interested in your plans for the day, and breakfast is local, farm-to-table, and homemade goodness. The garden and property is a beautiful array of planting areas. I found myself drawn in and kept finding new little nooks or areas to explore. It is a restful area to just sit and enjoy from the deck, and their care of the land was visible everywhere. The icing on the cake is that they are dog-friendly. We brought our 1yr old pup, full of energy, and he loved roaming the large property and playing with the hosts' dogs. It was incredible, and we'll most defintely be back!

The grounds were open and welcoming and the lodging was comfortable, clean and had an intriguing Japanese/modern decor. The bathroom was thoughtfully stocked & there was an assortment of teas available. The hosts were amazing and breakfast was delicious, including home made jams & gluten free muffins & individual frittatas served in our room. A short walk up to the arboretum from this scenic and nature focused neighborhood made it an awesome stay!

We plan to stay at Sehome Garden Inn when we go to Bellingham again and have recommended it to our friends.

Everything about the Sehome Garden Inn was delightful: the beautiful and very comfortable accomodation, the hosts, and the yummy breakfast. We would love to return!

The place is tucked away, so quiet and peaceful. Also very close to the downtown area for dinner and easy access to hiking. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are very cute, clean and comfy. The hosts are so lovely and the breakfast is delicious! Really enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again!

Our Sehome Garden Inn stay was beautiful! Pretty suite with a mid-century, Japanese feel. The gardens on the property were a hidden gem and pretty to walk through with lots of interesting plants. We loved hearing about the history of the property from our hosts Joseph and Walter. Miss Pearl, one of their two labs, was an absolute treat. She loved pets and was such a nice addition to our mornings. The only thing we didn’t like was that because this is our hosts’ home, one door separated our living space from theirs. We could easily hear them in their kitchen, making us feel like we needed to whisper and keep noise down. I do have mobility issues so I do want to note that the couch is really low and hard to get up from if you have accessibility limitations. The bedroom is small and it was hard to squeeze by the end of the bed. The bathroom, however; is fully accessible. None of these things would keep me from gladly staying here again.

The location grounds are magical, bursting with nature and welcoming. We loved our breakfast! Warm, homemade, delicious served overlooking the garden by really nice hosts. Such a great Mother’s Day
