Nice bar. Parking was difficult. No televisions in room. Rooms small for cost.

Everything was wonderful, the ambience and history is rich and romantic BUT the beds were extremely uncomfortable and hard and the pillows are as thin as pancakes. The rooms are tiny but I guess you can expect that from a building built in the 1920’s. The restaurant was delicious and had lots of allergy accommodations.

Breakfast was good with a variety of options. Pool is incredible. We needed to open the windows for ventilation but the street noise was considerable.

Great property with character. Staff were nice and we enjoyed our complimentary drink in the bar.

I absolutely loved the Berkeley City Club and will stay again next time we are going to the Greek Theater. It was about a ten minute walk to the show! The rooms were sunny, bright and clean with very comfy beds.

Location Nice view of SF Miniature cramped rooms. Dark and stuffy.

This is a very old historic hotel. Built in 1929 - the rooms are very small. The bathroom looked original - very small - hardly any counter space. The worst was regulating the temperature of the shower water - either too hot or too cold - no in between. The other surprise was there are no TV's in the rooms. They have one TV in a room downstairs for everyone to watch which was not working. An employee casually said that it hasn't been working and they need to look into it. There is one ice machine on the bottom floor. There was a breakfast included in the price, but very limited selection - no meat of any kind. We paid a premium ($525 per night) because it was a Cal football weekend, and the hotel is near the stadium. Great for history and architecture, but for modern day convenience, not good.

The architecture and furnishings were so cozy and nice. Hot water in our room could have arrived a bit sooner for the shower, and wasn’t quite hot enough in the late morning, perhaps just a use vs. capacity issue?

The indoor pool facility was great as were the indoor dining options. This was my second trip staying at the Berkeley City Club and I have no doubt that I will be returning soon.

Beautiful hotel with so many interesting rooms to explore, and gardens to stubble upon. It was as if we were staying in a museum. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. Parking was expensive, and limited.

Step back in time to the 1920s. Beautiful Gothic and Moorish architecture, indoor pool, small but beautiful rooms without TVs or refrigerators and that's ok! It was quiet, comfortable and within walking distance to the Greek Theater where we saw a concert. The complimentary breakfast was perfect. We will definitely stay again.
