Hotel Shattuck Plaza

The bar is beautiful, the food is excellent. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff were professional and attentive. 10/10 stay.

The hotel is older. The rooms were a bit small and the bathroom/shower really small. The staff was amazing though and very helpful. Our AC was not working properly. I thought it was just because the hotel was older. It slowly got worse. By the time the room was like a sauna I said something and the staff was on it. They brought a portable AC window unit to the room immediately. The also offered to let us move rooms. The hotel is in a great location. Right close to BART and a little campus Target.

The hotel staff was outstanding...always pleasant and helpful. In particular, Tamar checked us in at a very late hour (after 10 pm). We asked if we could have a microwave in the room and she said that one would be provided by housekeeping in the morning. However, she also asked if we needed one sooner. We replied that we would like one before the morning. She agreed that it was possible and she ended up bringing the microwave to our room herself. That was incredible to us! We were grateful and amazed.

Historical property recently updated. Great location, so close to UC-Berkeley, BART and restaurants. Our only complaint was the trifecta of noise generators in our room - the wall A/C, an auxiliary A/C unit and the loudest small fridge we have ever encountered. But the shower was great, the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel Shattuck is perfectly located near UC Berkeley and the BART station. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My daughter and I stayed for three days and were very surprised that our room was cleaned daily. The restaurant offered different meal options and it had an awesome ambiance. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent. Near the downtown BART station and walkable to many restaurants. There is only Valet parking and it is expensive

Nice clean rooms. The lighting in the bathroom made it easy to get ready. Staff was helpful and quick with requests. We parked in garage across the street which was about $25 per day.

Minor issues with towels, A/C not cooling, ice maker/ chilled water on floor was not functioning and insufficient number of coffee k-cups in the room. Some facilities mentioned above were not in good working order. Room was advertised as a Deluxe King but was a very minimum sized King room without any "deluxe" features. Also, the room was advertised to have a "City View", but the only view is of a rooftop.

Very clean, the room was great other than some confusion with the a/c controls. Decent breakfast though expensive. They need to hire more servers and bar staff.

Great location with train station just outside. Overall the hotel is in good condition, but hallways smelled a bit musty and walls are thin so you can hear even normal volume conversations in neighboring rooms or the hall and anytime someone uses a shower. But the shower itself was good with great pressure and both rain and handheld options. Staff are nice. Good bar in the lobby and simple amenity like getting a small cup of iced lemon water was nice.

Awesome staff. Spacious, smelling fresh and clean room. So many nice coffee shops nearby.

The front of house staff were great but my room was cold, the shower leaked badly, the gym was tiny and the service in the restaurant was uber slow to seat you or take orders despite there being minimal guests.

Room is super clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
