Hyatt Place Bloomington

Had a great one ight stay here….. Especially appreciative of the fact that when I had a work deadline, they extended me a late checkout to keep me in the room with the WiFI. Appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the flexibility! Brittany was especially cool upon checkout.

Location This hotel is fine … great location but in the normal world of reasonable things … we would never stay here for $800. No housekeeping unless you are a Hyatt plus member? They ask me to carry fresh towels to my room from front desk. The staff seems confused and understaffed but they were polite and tried to be helpful.

room size was nice - very roomy - location right downtown - didn't eat breakfast at hotel - staff were very friendly and helpful - garage parking was nice - easy check in and check out - proximity to everything was great shower was broken upon arrival - no gel wash in container in shower - asked to have it replaced - never got replaced - cost of hotel was outrageous - could have stayed in downtown chicago for the price paid - did not warrant the cost to stay

The manager of front was absolutely amazing. Helped me with our issue that we had resolved it and even made the situation better great hospitality very friendly will come back again.

Close access to campus but also bars and restaurants. Easy parking. Clean facilities. Pricier than expected with football game wkd.

I booked the city view , paid for a city view,…. I’ve stayed in that room before and thought upgrade was worth it…. At check in I clearly knew what room I booked and repeat told him…. He didn’t listen, kept saying we have a good room for you… sure it was fine but I paid and extra $70 for the better room… after attempting to resolve myself…Expedia tried to call but they would not pick up…. And housekeeping walked on us at 9am … entered without knocking..

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place in Bloomington! The staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout my entire stay. I was especially impressed considering this was one of the busiest times of the year with college move-in happening. The hotel was very busy, and parking in the garage could be challenging at times with so many families and extra vehicles in town for move-in. Despite that, it didn’t take away from my overall experience. My room was clean, comfortable, and a great place to come back to after long days of moving in. I truly enjoyed my stay and really appreciated how welcoming and helpful the staff was during such a hectic weekend. I would definitely stay here again!

After our stay, I was charged $180, despite having already paid the hotel charge through Expedia. When I contacted the hotel, I was told the charge was for missing sofa cushions reported by housekeeping. I returned to the hotel, taking time away from my conference, to resolve the issue. Upon inspecting the room, we found that the cushions were still there, lodged underneath the mattress. This clearly indicates that housekeeping had failed to properly inspect and clear the sofa bed. Despite this, I was treated as though I had stolen the cushions. We did not take or remove any hotel property, and I find it extremely unacceptable that I was accused and charged because of a housekeeping error.
