I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place in Bloomington! The staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout my entire stay. I was especially impressed considering this was one of the busiest times of the year with college move-in happening. The hotel was very busy, and parking in the garage could be challenging at times with so many families and extra vehicles in town for move-in. Despite that, it didn’t take away from my overall experience. My room was clean, comfortable, and a great place to come back to after long days of moving in. I truly enjoyed my stay and really appreciated how welcoming and helpful the staff was during such a hectic weekend. I would definitely stay here again!

After our stay, I was charged $180, despite having already paid the hotel charge through Expedia. When I contacted the hotel, I was told the charge was for missing sofa cushions reported by housekeeping. I returned to the hotel, taking time away from my conference, to resolve the issue. Upon inspecting the room, we found that the cushions were still there, lodged underneath the mattress. This clearly indicates that housekeeping had failed to properly inspect and clear the sofa bed. Despite this, I was treated as though I had stolen the cushions. We did not take or remove any hotel property, and I find it extremely unacceptable that I was accused and charged because of a housekeeping error.

Location is convenient to IU Dated rooms, noisy A/C, not enough guest parking, parking garage is difficult to access/navigate if you’re driving a large SUV or truck, parking must be paid via QR code and it wasn’t working, no key available at check in, two hair dryers in the room and neither one worked. (With regard to room key …Front desk staffer had to escort us to our room to open the door for us. He proceeded to tell us IT staff were on their way to fix the problem and a key would be delivered to us within 40 minutes. Never happened. The following morning we had to pack up everything and haul it with us to breakfast because we had no way of getting back into our room. To add insult to injury, we were paying an inflated rate for the room because it was a busy time on campus.

Great hotel all around.

My only complaint about my stay is with the parking garage. It is not the easiest garage to enter and someone with a car much bigger than mine would really have a problem.

Breakfast was excellent Front office personnel, desk help was excellent. A/C issue , not cooling!

They did replace the garage entry system and this was great. License plate reader took care of all in/out travel.
