Nice, quiet experience.

The room was quiet, clean, and COLD. which was so nice considering it was upper 90°s during our stay. The bed was so comfortable. Violet in the kitchen was so sweet and helpful. The room felt really nice and had everything we would want. We will definitely be back.

Great location and breakfast

Also, if you have any mobility impairments, this is a tough place to navigate. Two flights of relatively steep steps to get to the main house if you are staying in the Composer's House.

The scones and cookies are excellent and I think Mike checked us in he was very nice.

We stayed at the Showers Inn on June 15, 2026. We arrived late but they had a note how to access our room. The parking was adequate, always a concern at a B&B in a residential neighborhood. The room was pleasant and comfortable. In fact, we thought highly of the room accommodations. At breakfast the next morning was when our stay turned bad. We went to the main floor of the main building of the Inn. There wasn't any food to be had. Nor were there any employees to discuss the breakfast situation with. Another guest said she had been waiting for 30 minutes and had to leave without getting breakfast. We hung around for about 20 minutes. Then we had to leave. After returning home, we called the Inn. They apologized for the lack of breakfast but no explanation was given. We were told our credit card would be credited $20/person. As of today, 7-8-26, we have not received that credit. For a B&B not to have breakfast is not acceptable. For communication to be so poor is also unacceptable.

Something for everyone. Delicious egg bake. Hostess willing to cater to Gluten free guest. The courtyard is a special area for quiet privacy with a fountain, but the landscaping was in need of care and maintenance.

I arrived during a tornado warning in Monroe County, and the staff member was waiting for me at the front door. (Everything was fine, just a bit unnerving!) My room was wonderful: clean, comfortable, and just what I'd hoped for. I was in town for business and was able to get a nice, quiet night of sleep each of the nights I was there. Lovely property, very well-maintained, and highly recommended.

BEAUTIFUL historic home and the absolute BEST breakfast buffet I have ever had. Hands down.

Showers Inn is a delightful place to stay in Bloomington, Indiana. This is a gorgeous bed and breakfast and has a staff that makes you feel comfortable and welcome.

Delicious, bountiful, varied selection. Hostess was very accommodating for our gluten free family member The delightful patio area with fountain needed attention. Weeds and overgrowth detracted from the peaceful setting. Patio chairs were dirty with bird poop. Ramp to the Composer house inaccessible and crumbling.

This is a really special and unique place. Would definitely love to stay again. Just be careful on little 500 weekend because next-door neighbors were having quite the rager that went all hours.

The Shower’s Inn is an absolutely wonderful B&B. It’s my second time staying here and this visit was as lovely as the first. It’s charming, from the main house to the Composer’s House, and the breakfast was lovely. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Got evicted before breakfast. This was supposedly a highlight of the Inn. We already called you too report a most upsetting phone call from the owner of Showers Inn, Mike. We came for the stated breakfast at 8am but the door was locked. We called & got voice mail & explained we were waiting. Called again after 5 minutes. Then Mikr called back saying he just woke up, that the woman who makes breakfast should be. there. He kept saying I'm trying to help you" and said his parents died last month. He directed us to a locked gate. When we figured out how to open it from them other side he told us to to up a back flight of stairs to the kitchen where a young woman was starting breakfast. He then got very angry and told us "Get the Fuck off my property. I am calling the police". I asked for his last name and he said "I'm not telling you." So we said we are definitely leaving & we did. We are 76 years old and have stayed at numerous inns & B&BS and never were evicted for showing up for breakfast. This caused a huge disruption in our plans as we were to have a relaxing 2 days & I also had to cancel 2 virtual work appointments. Clearly this man was distraught and took it out on us. We are request ing a full refund.
