Waited in lobby for about 30 minutes before clerk came in to check me in. Didn’t ask for ID or verification. Just gave room keys and told me where to go. There are a lot of summer workers living there also. They like to drink and were loud. Most of them have big dogs and they let them run loose. Carpets were sticky and dirty in room. Best to stay on the main drag IMO

Never got to stay. They were over-booked and canceled our stay due to over-booking. So can't really give you an honest opinion about the hotel.

The room was clean and big. However, the hallways were so nasty with trash on the floor and not cleaned in 3 days. (While we were there) the halls smelled putrid, I mean gag it was so bad. I have never stayed anywhere that smelled so bad. If we had paid for the rooms there, we would have asked for our money back. The second night not only the bad smell but pot was so strong we had to use air freshener in our room. Let's not even talk about the dogs barking till 1 in the morning. Very dissatisfied

So I rented the room because it was listed as a Howard johnson. And I know it's been a very long time since I stayed at Howard Johnson but my memory was that it was a higher tier Hotel like a Hilton or a marriott. But I showed up in the very first thing I seen as it's not really a Howard Johnson but something oaks. I would tell you what that first word is but the sign was damaged in a way that you can't even read the first word. Which did not give me a great first impression. Check-in went fine the guy said he upgraded us. But it looked like the exact room that I booked anyway. We never got to use the pool but it looked great and the lady said that the water was warm. When we walked in we immediately noticed trash everywhere. There's a pair of underwear at the door that didn't move for about 48 hours. There was trash in the hallway outside of our room that was there when we checked in and there when we left after four days and three nights. There was alcohol beverages and used cleaning supplies in the stairwell that didn't move the entire time that we were there. And the room was okay. There was a balcony which was nice but the air conditioner unit was disassembled and laying open on the balcony. The air conditioner did work well but it was definitely like a dated early 2000s late 90s model. I really don't care for going to a hotel and instead of a real blanket they give you a slightly thicker sheet and call it a blanket. It is a basic low-end roadside Motel.

Quiet and comfy. A great continental breakfast too!!! Pool is great!
-
Friendly clean room
-
The continental breakfast was more or less a joke, gravy and biscuits juices that are diluted that probably haven’t been cleaned out of the machines as well as random people off the street, seemingly walking in looking homeless. Tons and tons and tons of homeless looking people on site walking in and out of the hotel at all hours. no room cleaning service nobody to change out towels. Bathroom was a disaster bath bathtub was delaminating and dirty. Couldn’t properly shower in there due to the water spigot being halfway broken and not drain draining at all. Huge amount of light around the door seal and the AC unit which was not good. Everything smelled like smoke and smelled damp. Absolutely embarrassing. I have stayed I. Hundreds of hotels, this is easily the worst one.

Bad bad

Pools were down breakfast was terrible. No fresh fruit, oranges were hard to the touch they were so old.
-
Breakfast, front desk staff & in room jet tub were great. Room rug needs replaced& no daily cleaning as we had to go after clean towels every day although front desk staff was helpful in getting them to us. Not all pets on were on a leash as one large dog jumped up on me when I was walking back to room after breakfast. Dogs barking. Not all dog poop was picked up & cigarette butts all over parking lot.

I didn't like anything. This is why. The indoor pool was filthy. tho it said full breakfast, they only had eggs and meat on the weekend and for the first 3 days, they didn't have gravy for the biscuits. Walmart is right down the street. The was a panel in the ceiling and a loud squeek came through ruining the possibility of sleep. Told them the next morning and they said they'd fix it They did not. Next day we asked to give us a different room downstairs because of my 80 year old grandma with us. They said it would be ready when we got back in the afternoon. We got back and were told they were full and couldn't move us. the next morning the lady said, "No problem. Come back around 1:00 and we'll have you a downstairs room in section A. When we came back, she told us she couldn't put us on the 1st floor because the maid didin't want to clean rooms on the first floor today. They could move us to another room without a squeek, but 2nd floor. No elevators, so we carried everything downstairs and over to the next section and back upstairs. We were there for 8 nights and it's the worst motel i've ever been in. They didn't have microwaves in the room, but said they had them in the community area for the guests to use. They forgot to mention that it was only on the 1st floor and one of two didn't work and a lady who had been there 2 month said it didn't work when they moved in. No ice on the 2nd floor either. What I d What I didn't like is listed above and I'm not going to repeat it here. It's the worst motel i've ever stayed at and all the reasons are listed above. You should be ashamed to have it on your list. Do you wven check out the ones you support or just swallow what ever crap they feed you. If I could stay there for $25 a night... I would NOT!!!!!!

Nice location decent breakfast

I got the impression there are permanent residents who stay there and have the run of the property. There were several homeless in the area that came and went through the parking lot. I believe it could be a very nice place to stay at some point but it still has a ways to go. If you’re looking for something inexpensive to get some rest it will work for you but if you want your hotel to be part of your Branson experience I would suggest a different place to stay.

Clean Smoking on balcony right outside of room
-
Shower did not work,
-
Balcony was great. But too many people that live here, dirty, smelled horrible and smelled like weed everywhere.
-
Option of 3 beds one room. Multiple people living there full time. Unclean, unsafe feeling, Marijuana usage heavy in the hallway.
