The art deco building is gorgeous. I applaud the non-profit organization that saved, renovated and maintains this exceptional building. I very much appreciated the original bathroom fixtures. The hotel really gives you a taste of what it might have been like to travel back in the 1930-40s. On the downside, my experience was not the best: When I arrived, the front desk lady said something like: "I'll be right with you". Two minutes later, she came to the front desk joking about having problems with her Emails. Not acceptable! You should pause your Email activity when someone is waiting in the lobby. My wife and I were looking forward to a drink at the hotel bar. The website indicated that the bar was open, and a note on the door confirmed. There was nobody there. Money and a lady's purse were spread out on the bar. We were told at the front desk that the people running the bar for them decided not to open that evening. Not acceptable. The next morning I took a lukewarm shower, as it took about ten minutes for the water to become warm enough, By then I was done and my feet were in about 5" of dirty water because the drain was clogged. We were also told that if we did not turn in our brass key, they would charge us $75 to replace it. When walked down to the lobby, there was a sign stating that front desk duty started at 9:00.

This is barely a 2 stars hotel. Convenient in terms of location, but run down and not exactly clean.
-
There are homeless people stalking guests after they check in and come out to bring bags in. Parking is unsecured behind the building and the homeless hang out directly across the street.

This is a clean and charming historic hotel, it still has metal keys for doors! The beds were great and the historic tidbits were fun. There is a record player in the rooms and it's connected to a movie theater and bar.

Parking is also a hassle. Only 12(ish) spots on-site, first come first served, in a very tight lot. If those are full, you’re stuck paying hourly at an overflow lot. Staff at check-in and around the property were genuinely nice, so that’s worth noting. But the room condition didn’t match what was advertised at all. Would not book again based on this experience.

Very comfy bed, lovely staff. Right in the center of Brattleboro!

nice view from the back of hotel. staff very helpful and polite, play ground for kids, gazebo in back to sit and watch sun rise .

BAD, Did not stay after seeing the room. No refund.

In an old Theater building. Definitely has character and cool features. We arrived too late for the movies, but still fun. In central Brattleboro which has some interesting shops, but is suffering from homelessnes and mental illness/drug use. Didnt really feel unsafe and we walked a few blocks to a fun restaurant with good food & karioke. Person at desk was lovely and helpful. Room was ok- a little dated and could be cleaner.

Sages, the bar attached to the hotel was really cool. Decorated awesome, great playlist, super comfy to have a drink in with very friendly staff. We didn't get to see a movie but we loved how the hotel lobby always smelled like popcorn and it was really beautifully decorated. We were concerned about parking but there was plenty of parking in the hotel's complimentary lot. The price was incredibly affordable and right in the middle of all the great shops and restaurants. Nothing was more than a 7 minute walk. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay if you appreciate character and decor.

Main Street Brattleboro so great, near Restaurants and entertainment. We saw a film downstairs, LPs and are Record player in Rooms!

We loved the property! The facility is very well renovated, and the staff was very nice! It was full of history, and very interesting for us traveling as a couple. The vinyl record player and the collections were very cool!!! I would recommend to anyone who would like to explore the city have a have good time.

Very good

The parking lot is too small, with tight spaces that are difficult to maneuver. It required multiple passes to get my vehicle safely positioned. Only one space was open. The hotel has no food service, only coffee and tea. The plumbing is old and leaky. However, everything does work, the location is extremely convenient, and the price is reasonable. I will stay there again because of the convenient location.

We loved our stay at the Latchis. The one and ONLY issue, which was on the minor side for us personally though would have long-term significance, the shower diverter did not function very efficiently, which wasted water. Also, the shower tub did not drain very well, which is just annoying to stand in water as your bathing. Other than that, we absolutely adore this property and will stay there again when we visit Brattleboro. J & E

Excellent stay in every way. I was vacationing and had a friend along who NEEDED the time away and quiet comfort more than I did. Brattleboro is one of my favorite get-aways from Cape Cod. I'll be back, and I'll definitely stay at the Latchis. Thanks again for a great stay.

The room was clean, and we appreciated that we could bring our two dogs. The street was a bit loud at night, but the bed was comfy so we got a good nights sleep.
