The location of the property is familiar which makes maneuvering easy. However , the place needs to be cleaned!! There are rats or mice in the hotel that ate the food we had. Bite up snacks etc. literally heard the mice or rats rustling through the bags in the night. Was moved to another room and same story , the rats ate the bags etc. it’s was terrible. The staff- the 2 guys are really nice but would not return with that rat problem. The linens need an overhaul, they need changing, they are old, worn, torn, dirty!! The curtains are torn obviously from being up too long and exposed to sunlight. This place needs work.

I've been there several times to this hotel I've actually stood there more than 10 times and I will continue to always go back I don't care where I have to go and what I have to do in New York I will always stay at the Royal Hotel in the Bronx I don't care if it takes an hour which has all the time to get to where I have to I will stay at the Royal Hotel in the Bronx a treat you like family the place is always clean and they're always make sure they take care of you no matter what the problem and no matter what the time so I recommend anybody and everybody to go stay at the hotel Royal Bronx

The room had three pieces of stale chewing gum stuck to the headboard. The room was dirty, and the sheets were very dusty. The curtains hadn't been changed for months and were very dirty. The walls were stained and dirty, and the floors were dirty. The front Dest attendant at that time was very rude and disrespectful.
