Room seals not clean

So, it’s very much what you pay for. The rooms are deceptively tiny, with zero amenities to them. The tv is hung poorly, if not concerningly on the wall. The bathroom sink and mirror were in the bedroom, strange. Walls are crazy thin, and you hear everyone. There were stains on just about every fabric and the blankets were just dingy. There were only two pillows on the bed, both of which didn’t match and were painfully thin. And lastly, the bed itself was like sleeping on a gym mat; incredibly hard. Saving grace was the staff were kind and they had nice, light breakfast spread.

The hotel is basic...bed, shower, toilet and face wash. The room and the surrounding areas I was able to use were clean. If you're looking for a place other than with the things mentioned above, you will complain. No chairs or table in the room

My stay was great. Enjoyed the view of the NYC skyline. Great microwave. Got a cooy of the Epoch Times. Great guest room downstairs

It gets the job done.

The room was small which is pretty expensive for New York. There was lots of noise transfer between the hall and the room. The shower had only hot water, no adjustment. There was only one large pillow plus two smaller ones for a room with a king bed. There is only a sink in the room with a toilet and shower in a separate bathroom. The mirror above the sink was loose and ratting. No sound proofing

The room was clean. However, when I checked in, they room key I was given was for an occupied room. I walked in on people who looked as surprised as I was. I went to the front desk and the girl was very apologetic but that was a very weird situation. Also, it had me concerned that the same thing would happen when I was in my room. Very basic hotel. No place to sit suitcase, no blow dryer. Neighborhood was ok. It was convenient for me because it was close to the person I was visiting.

A place to sleep if you don’t mind the sound of people coming and going all night long and music playing, The window faces bags of garbage and other debris.

Proximity to Atlantic and Lafayette. The first thing that greeted me was a man loudly exclaiming to the hotel clerk behind four inch bulletproof glass was that he did not in fact have a weapon. But the woman upstairs might. His nostrils were red and flared and he was tweaking out like a electrified grasshopper. This chaotic greeting was met with apathy and indifference by the clerk who I assumed dealt with this regularly. We reluctantly checked in and headed upstairs to inspect our accommodations. When the elevator opened out to the floor it looked like a gateway to Rikers. Dingy floors, cold florescent lighting and scuffed grey cement walls. The room carried the same charm. Within minutes we decide to book another room and quickly left to the lobby to get a refund. The twitching man was still in the lobby surrounded by five cops. For soem reason the clerk was shocked by my request to cancel and refund my money. Asking why?? I just gestured around me. We were there fir five minutes and he had the audacity to still charge me a $50 cancellation fee. I suggest you spend the extra $100 so you can sleep soundly.

It was a satisfactory stay and served its purpose for us.

We were here for one night to see a show, which is the only reason we stayed at The Baltic. The benefit to the property is that it’s within walking distance of the Barclays Center and is close to a lot of shops/restaurants. However, the room are exceptionally small (even for NYC) we were in a floor next to the check-in desk and when we pull our sheets back there was a stain! We door-dashed a blanket from Target that we used to sleep under because we didn’t want to get under the sheets. Also the walls had stains. If I need to stay in the area again, I will pay a little extra to stay somewhere else!

Upon entering as a fan was running. Uh oh, I thought. Sure enough the AC was not working. I went down to complain and was told all the rooms in the hotel were on a central thermostat. The clerk would “try” to lower the temperature setting. The temperature never changed. The room remained very warm throughout the overnight stay. The tap on the sink was broken.

Breakfast was stale old bagels in the rooms are filthy. There is nothing decent about this property.

Room was really clean and bed was firm.

This place is an absolute dump. It basically felt like a scam. The block it is on was a nightmare. The staff was unable to control the patrons. The noise was horrendous. The room was dirty. The common areas--hallways, lobby, etc.-- smelled like cheap chemical cleaning products. This is very obviously a nasty money grab for the owners. Everything is as cheap as it possibly could be. The clientele must be pretty bad because there seem to be cameras everywhere AND the staff seems to be afraid of patrons (for instance, being afraid to ask patrons to turn down VERY loud music etc). It would be interesting to see how often the police have to come there.

More pillows needed on a king size bed. Those provided were smaller than my head and there were only two.
