We were here for one night to see a show, which is the only reason we stayed at The Baltic. The benefit to the property is that it’s within walking distance of the Barclays Center and is close to a lot of shops/restaurants. However, the room are exceptionally small (even for NYC) we were in a floor next to the check-in desk and when we pull our sheets back there was a stain! We door-dashed a blanket from Target that we used to sleep under because we didn’t want to get under the sheets. Also the walls had stains. If I need to stay in the area again, I will pay a little extra to stay somewhere else!

    Poor

Upon entering as a fan was running. Uh oh, I thought. Sure enough the AC was not working. I went down to complain and was told all the rooms in the hotel were on a central thermostat. The clerk would “try” to lower the temperature setting. The temperature never changed. The room remained very warm throughout the overnight stay. The tap on the sink was broken.

    Passable

Breakfast was stale old bagels in the rooms are filthy. There is nothing decent about this property.

Room was really clean and bed was firm.

This place is an absolute dump. It basically felt like a scam. The block it is on was a nightmare. The staff was unable to control the patrons. The noise was horrendous. The room was dirty. The common areas--hallways, lobby, etc.-- smelled like cheap chemical cleaning products. This is very obviously a nasty money grab for the owners. Everything is as cheap as it possibly could be. The clientele must be pretty bad because there seem to be cameras everywhere AND the staff seems to be afraid of patrons (for instance, being afraid to ask patrons to turn down VERY loud music etc). It would be interesting to see how often the police have to come there.

More pillows needed on a king size bed. Those provided were smaller than my head and there were only two.

The shower could use a curtain or something to better contain water.

Clean, air condition room. Good staff, NYC bagels for breakfast. Location is within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, delis, and downtown.

Nice staff. Hotel is good price but not great quality.

clean room great staff great air conditioning there is a complimentary breakfast there but I didn't really partake on it but It looked good. The only weird thing was there wasn't a full closing shower door for the shower And that took some time to get it used that. other than that great time,I would highly recommend the place

Room was fine BUT no AC.

This is a budget hotel and expectations should be set accordingly. Fine for a place to rest your head for the night While I would not call the hotel "filthy", but it certainly is not "clean" or well kept up with. Lobby and hallways are in rough shape. Florescent overhead lighting in all areas. Two very small pillows for the king bed (one per person). Sink in in bed / living area, bathroom is small (not filthy again, but certainly not clean), glass shower has no door to close (weird) so bath mat is just ensuring you do not slip and fall as water pours out onto the open shower floor.

If you’re spending the night or two in Brooklyn and you just need to clean centrally located spot to go out and do your thing this is the place! PS bagels are in the basement

Good hotel. Checked in late on. Fine spot for exploring new York and a reasonable price compared to the city centre. Ideal for Brooklyn Bridge etc plus easy subway access. Nice wee bagel in morning. Hallways need a bit of a paint. But was a fine place to stay.
