Staff were friendly. We arrived at 12 and tried to check in early with reservation. No rooms were ready. So we decided to walk around the city for a few hours and come back. Upon coming back at 3:30 (mind you check in is at 3) we waited a little longer because the room still wasn’t ready. Finally got the key and went up to our room only to find housekeeping was STILL in the room cleaning and had dirty linen on the floor as we were at the door. The room smelled of an old dirty mop and the shower was still dirty with dirt and small flies. Breakfast was minimal. Eggs and sausage. The Pancake machine was not working properly. The best thing was the coffee. We went down the street to the Root Hill cafe to have breakfast which was amazing.

Had an amazing stay at Tru! The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. I stay here whenever I visit Brooklyn, the parking is onsite and it's in walking distance to bars, restaurants, and the Barkley stadium.

My stay was great, only had one issue you, they forgot to inform you parking is not free.

I love it. Good location. Great staff

The breakfast was okay. Need to have turkey sausage or turkey bacon.

My family and I stayed here for a few nights leading up to the 4th of July holiday weekend. Overall, it was a decent stay. The rooms weren't spacious for 4 but it was compensated a little by the open space on the lower level where we spent our time hanging out with our boys when we were at the hotel. They had a pool table, games, and a tv. A nice common area to hang out at. It sucks there was no pool which seemed to be common in that area. I do think $40/night for parking was ridiculous. The staff seemed super young but overall friendly and helpful when needed.

Overall great stay but wished the towels weren't so paper thin! Stop being so cheap!

The hotel was clean. Staff were exceptional. Location was perfect as it was very close to the Union Street subway station. We requested for late checkout and our request was immediately accepted. Nice healthy breakfast. Gym was very basic but acceptable. Overall our experience of staying at this hotel was really good. Would definitely stay again at this hotel if I ever go back to NYC again. Can't think of anything as of now.

Flush lasted for five minutes. Loud, smelt like cat pee

Room clean and comfortable Staff pleasant and efficient

Breakfast area clean. I was on the 1st floor room near the front desk and it was very noisy.Could not sleep during the night. After staff closed the door leading to my corridor the noise problem with solved.

Great place to stay. Clean, rooms very kept together and quiet.

Breakfast was inedible by the end of the breakfast service time. The oatmeal had turned to paste, the yogurt was gone, the bacon was soft and greasy, the bagels were gone. Otherwise the hotel was fine, I slept well.

The room had everything I needed in it, and it was thoughtfully planned with some touches that much fancier hotels do not have. A small wall of hooks, a place to sit down to takeoff shoes and so forth, reading lights by the side of the bed that you could angle the way you wanted, and a tiny fridge. all arranged well. The television was easy to control. The shower was easy to turn on and off. I got fresh towels each day. The staff were extremely nice. The LED lighting was very cold and gray. Much warmer LED lights are available in the 2700 range. The bed was comfortable, but it took up almost all of the room. It was fine for me, but would not be for two people. The breakfast wasn’t very good. The pancake machine was broken. Instead of having a big display of different foods, which aren’t very good I suggest providing the usual coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, yogurt in different flavors and granola or cereal, and leave it at that.

Everything was clean and well maintained and had everything I needed. Only made it up in time for breakfast and it was good with lots of variety! Thanks TruHilton.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the true by Hilton. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. I even got lucky with a staff member who was willing to take pictures of me for my graduation. There is also a great lounge downstairs with games and a pool table and it was super modern and super cute.I love how clean the place was and the breakfast was great too. They offered tea and coffee all day at night which was a plus. It was in a prime location that was walking distance to so many different areas. Being a former Brooklyn resident, it was like being at home. I will definitely be back.
