Room was bright and clean with a great view. The pool was lovely for a hot NY day. The parking attendants were extremely helpful.

Our room was nice, albeit a little scuffed up all around - could just use some touchups. What we really struggled with were all the limitations around kids. We arrived late in the afternoon and were grabbing a quick bite at the rooftop. The staff was fine, but a little passive aggressive about kids being up there, despite being ahead of the 6pm 'curfew' for kids. Same thing for the pool - kids are only allowed from 8-12. And, in the morning, it's jam-packed with local families using ResortPass. All of that is fine, but they should really give reservations with kids included a heads up on the restrictions - get that it's a younger part of town, and perhaps more of a party hotel. But, make it Adults Only or send a note to people booking with kids about this aspect. We booked a hotel with a pool specifically due to it being July, so barely having access was super disappointing.

Water bugs and ants crazy in the balconies no toiletries, over priced, not what we had hoped, food tiny portions, this is a trendy place ice room and bathroom rain shower but the bed didn't have a top sheet, we paid over 1K and no top sheet… only a duvet cover… and my husband and I both were bit somehow in the room while sleeping idk… many will like it, not us though

Certainly not a world class property - terrible service.

During my stay, our room was not cleaned until 7pm on our first day and only after calling to inquire why we haven't been serviced yet. I ordered room service and got food poisoning from the pasta dish. Our bathroom had wires coming out from under the sink and peeling paint on the sink knobs. Rooms aren't vacuumed so, as it did for us, hair from previous guests will find its way onto your bed from the carpet and corner crevices. To note, I have a pixie cut. The hallways were also very loud and the noise mostly came from the staff who were on their phones having conversations at unnecessarily high decibels, on speaker phone at times. From inside my room, I could hear every word. The pool only allows children until 12pm- they don't tell you that until after you book. I paid for the amenity, my child should be able to enjoy the amenity. When I let two staff members know my chief complaints, they simply offered half-hearted apologies. I'm a Brooklyn resident who travels and stays in many luxury hotels- The William Vale used to be a coveted home treasure. Sadly, this is by no means a luxury hotel.

Fantastic location and brilliant views. Get's you away from the madness of Manhattan but still able to experience New York.

Gorgeous hotel. incredible views. Staff comped me an upgrade to a junior suite. Could not have had a better stay.

    Loved it

The room was nice enough, but the closet was starting to break, lights were not working and to top it off, there was only one elevator working, and was told the other elevator had been out for three weeks. The second elevator was “fixed” during our stay, but it would not stop at the lobby!

the fire alarm went off six times between 10pm and 2am with announcements from the hotel manager each time that it was a false alarm. When we checked out, there was no apology or mention of it by the hotel staff when it seemed like they should have been offering something in return from the lack of sleep.

Wonderful hotel with excellent service and beautiful, clean rooms in a fantastic central area of Williamsburg. Love having a balcony, robe and coffee maker in a NY hotel room!

Additionally, the hot tub add-on was not worth the extra cost. The water appeared dirty, and the bubbles repeatedly shut off, making it difficult to enjoy. We ended up spending our time at the regular pool instead. Given these issues, I do not feel that the experience matched what was advertised or the additional amount paid.
