Hampton Inn Brownwood

We got there and they thankfully did a little bit early of a check-in. That was at 2:20. And after they had already told me they couldn’t check in til 3, they caught me at the door and checked me in. Anyways. We get to the room, which was nice and clean, we swam which was nice and then went to shower. No hot water. When we told the front desk staff, he said he was unaware and didn’t know why we didn’t have hot water. Didn’t offer us another room or anything just kind of was a “deal with it situation”. Because we only stayed the one night, we just stayed instead of moving a wheelchaired senior citizen, a 2 year old and 3 other people.

Clean rooms No microwave and the eggs were iffy.

The keys to the room did not work. We had to get our keys reprogrammed every time we went into the room. The key reader to the door had to be repaired during our stay and the staff was completely unapologetic and couldn’t be bothered to help. We got no apologies or any empathy. We waited in the hall for an hour waiting for the maintenance guy to show up. I won’t be staying here again. We were here with a large group and the keys did not work for anyone. Very annoying.

Very clean, comfortable and soft and clean bedding. Super nice staff. Decent breakfast and free. Good coffee. Good location.

Place is freshly updated and staff was friendly. Room met expectations and was very spacious. Bed was comfy and temperature in room actually felt like the temperature we wanted.

Overall it was a nice stay. The carpet in the room was the only big issue. Just moments of walking around with clean socks we all noticed how filthy they were. Not like dirt or hair, but dark brown grime all over our feet. Just a little disappointing we couldn’t walk around the room without shoes on.

The key wouldn’t open the room. Rekeyed twice and still had trouble with them.

Breakfast was good. No hot water the 2nd day, maintance tried to fix it. Next day it was normal. Closet and frame was broken, let front desk know after check in Around the air conditoner the floor was wet but i know they had heavy rain the night before we check in. Stayed wet our whole stay Wish they would of stated online that pool is seasonal and wasnt open.

For the price I paid for 2 nights there was hardly any hot water to shower with. The water was almost cold. Not happy about that at all

Clean room and restrooms, staff was courteous and friendly and breakfast was great.

We needed to check in early and we were told there was a $25.00 charge and they charged us $50.00 on our Discover card and I asked if we were only charged the early check in fee and no incidentals charges and was told only the early check in charge!

Hotel was excellent. Booking.com was terrible. Do not plan on using booking again. Booking.com

It was very comfortable Nothing. It was all great.

Close to restaurants and other stores… also it was just a few minutes away from the college since that’s what we were there for and the hot breakfast was an added plus. The room we stayed in(202) the tub was very slow draining.
