The location is fantastic! Porter square is loaded with stuff to do and restaurants and close to the metro. The hotel is updated and the staff was fabulous, friendly helpful and super attentive! The beds are very firm a mattress on a wooden platform and the rooms are super tiny and the outlets are poorly design. No room on the nightstands for charging our phones and forget having room for a cpap machine - so tight!

Very close to a t stop so getting around was easy. Lots of shops and restaurants close. Beds were too firm for my wife and I but that’s a matter of preference. Very nice staff.

The room is ok for the price, but too strong chemical smell I think because of newly renovation, the worst thing is no window can be opened for fresh air.

sweet place. nice staff. small hotel but super cozy. great restaurant - and i mean GREAT on the premises. One of the best meals I've had in Boston. The room was small, but nicely appointed with a really nice bathroom. And it is in Cambridge ... near Porter Square. We enjoyed it.

Central and quiet Our room was very small. We had to walk over our suitcases. We couldn’t even lay them out on the ground.

Friendly staff. Clean. Restaurants nearby. There on extra hot days and the air conditioner had a little trouble keeping up, so humidity stayed high in the room. It was still within an acceptable comfort range. Overall good stay.

The hotel is very close to the subway, which makes getting around really convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small, but overall it was a very pleasant stay.

I always enjoy my stays here. It's a toss up between Porter Sq. Hotel and the 1868 location and it changes depending where I stay.
