Hotel 1868

Hotel 1868 was in a perfect location for our weekend visiting Tufts. It is across the street from the T, and walking distance to Davis Square and the campus. There were coffee shops nearby for an easy breakfast. The room was small, but very efficiently planned. We had everything we needed, including drawers under the bed so we could unpack our suitcases. The bed was comfortable, there was coffee in the room, everything was clean - just a great experience overall!

Overall a nice place

Great, clean hotel at a decent price. A few notes for those considering it: there is no refrigerator in the mini Queen room. Also, the sliding bathroom door in my room would not stay closed and there was no way to lock it. Aside from that, it was great.

This is a great neighborhood right next to subway. Easy access to wherever you go. Rooms comfortable and clean. Nothing - terrific

We would recommend certainly for the location. Also priced well compared to other Boston hotels.

I absolutely loved the decor of this place . The bed wasn’t comfy but the rooms where cute

The best thing about this property is the location right across the Porter T stop. The hotel is also relatively new and clean. Bed is comfortable. Room was very quiet despite being on a main road. The room was very small, although, we knew this prior to the stay. There were a few minor issues like the bathroom slider door wouldn’t close all the way due to the upper track coming loose and the TP roll holder was semi broken.

Nice place. It’s across the street from the Red Line and a short drive to Harvard. Valet parking is $28 and a good deal. There’s a Cafe Nero next door. When I checked in, no one told me about the fridge and microwave in the nice basement lounge. The only quibble about the room is the shower and sink areas are separated by a shower curtain and share the floor so water from the shower gets into the sink area. Still, great place and at $170 a night on the Sunday I stayed was a great deal.
