Morrison House

The room was clean and kept tidy during my 5 day stay.

It was not a corporate rubber stamp. Many amenities inside a small room: tv, fridge, plentiful charging options, a robe, desk supplies, etc. I loved the furnishings, books and artwork. The breakfast was well set up. The fruit salad was delicious. The location was very convenient, especially for public transit. I prefer duvet covers to sheets and blankets, which are fussy if you are an active sleeper. I never met the owners. The cereal choices were disappointing - no healthy options, and the decaf coffee wasn’t very good.

We loved our stay at Morrison House! The property is conveniently located, breakfast was delicious, and Lydia was a delightful host cat. We are looking forward to staying again!

Breakfast was exactly the same both days. It was fine but a little variety would be appreciated.

Walkable to Davis Square and Tufts Parking was a little tight but I wouldn't say didn't like

Breakfast was fresh with very good fruit. French presses for coffee was really nice.

Absolutely fantastic service. We arrived more than 24 hours late due to weather delays. They shifted our reservation by one day at no extra cost. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

fine, Evberythinbg was fineas usual - though i did miss Linde's wonderful muffins! Everything was fine - the only thing that could be improved was the chair in my room (the Little Room) which is wobbly.

The house was very clean, the room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed, and the location was near local eateries, shops, and parks. It was easy to come and go as we needed. The eggs served in the morning were also delicious. My daughter would have liked to have seen Lydia the house cat more ?. No complaints about our stay.

Everything about The Morrison was great. A veritable home from home. The bed and the room was super comfortable and included everything I could think of. It was great to have a DIY breakfast, good coffee (caf and decaf) and gluten free bread. Thank you Ron and Linde

Lovely little B&B, well located in a quiet area of Boston with good access to public transport

Das B&B ist super! Es ist eine gute Alternative, um die teuren Hotels in Downtown zu umgehen. Die T-Line Anbindung ist zu Fuß in 5 min erreichbar. Die Züge fahren häufig. Die Gegend ist ruhig. Boston ist zu 100 Prozent sicher und es ist kein Problem mit der T-Line zu fahren. Das Frühstück ist perfekt für den Start in den Tag.

The charm of the location and the property cannot be denied. It’s in a quiet street and it’s only a short walk to Davis Square and the train station. We followed the instructions to enter with a door code, signed in and the host (we assumed it was the host as he asked us how we got in) helped us with the luggage upstairs. The room was large, nicely furnished with unexpected touches of a safe, refrigerator and microwave as well as a very comfortable bed. However, some touches we’ve come to expect in this category were not there. The refrigerator had a chilled carafe of water, but nothing else. There was nothing to make cups of tea or coffee, nor any invitation to use those drink making facilities in the dining room. There is plenty of information in the room which is helpful. Breakfast, while the individual components were excellent, we did not find it as described elsewhere. The scrambled eggs were perfect, but there was no evidence of homemade cakes mentioned in another review. Bread (very nice bread it must be said) was the only baked good we saw. Having said that, they accommodated us well on the morning of departure which was much appreciated as we had an early flight. We only met the hostess as we were heading for the taxi to go to the airport (we assumed it was the hostess as she was inviting the cat to go outside and not speaking to us). If we need accommodation in Boston in the future, we would certainly book here again. Running a B&B is a great deal of work and the hosts do it well, but we felt it needed one or two extra touches. Either tea/coffee facilities in the room or clearer instructions if it’s acceptable to use the dining room for this out of breakfast hours. Our sincere apologies if this is in the information in room and we did not see it. We, rightly or wrongly, expected a better selection at breakfast and the hosts to at least welcome us and say goodbye.

The owners are so accommodating and everything you can imagine you may need is there! Great breakfasts too. Will definitely come back to stay again soon!
