Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay

The only downer was that it was we could not get to the indoor pool from inside. We have a young infant and the only indoor elevator to the indoor pool was out of order. So we could not watch the indoor movie or use the pool because it was raining outside and we had no way to get to it with our stroller. The staff was fantastic all around though. Even when we were not a fan of the buffet food they were so kind and accommodating. The poolside staff was the best and they had great food.. We would definitely return and recommend to others!

We kept waiting in the lobby. The food options were limited and we had a bad experience with the service. I will never visit this location again.

Wrist band key cards, pools, views of the bay, and toiletries were nice. Bed was soft and lumpy. Low water pressure in room and locker room showers. Locker rooms off indoor pool had no water pressure and no A/C - very hot and humid. Would give the hotel three stars at most - felt it was overpriced for the experience.

Friendly staff and great activities for kids

When we arrived we were told we would only be receiving 7 of the 9 rooms that we had booked and paid for in March (our trip was in August). One of the rooms was a pull out sofa when we had paid and booked for 9 kind rooms.

We made the most of everything the resort has to offer. We spent hours relaxing by the beautiful pool with attentive waitress service, rented bikes to explore the property, took Sea-Doos out on the bay for an unforgettable afternoon, enjoyed a round of mini golf, and then retreated to our luxurious suite to unwind in comfort. Every experience was seamless and first class. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every employee we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay special never went unnoticed. The grounds are immaculate, the amenities are outstanding, and the entire resort strikes the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. Whether you’re looking for adventure, a romantic getaway, or simply a place to recharge, this property delivers. We’ve stayed at many resorts over the years, and this one ranks among the very best. We left already talking about when we can come back. Five stars without hesitation.

I love everything, the fishing area was amazing, my kids loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home from check-in to departure. The resort is very family-friendly, with plenty of activities for both kids and adults. Breakfast offered a good variety of fresh options, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and well-maintained. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return to experience their Christmas themed holiday

The food is terrible. That’s my only complaint

Property looks nice. The property is attractive and well\-maintained at first glance, but the overall experience did not justify the premium price\. The service quality was disappointing, the staff appeared to be inadequately trained, and they were unable to provide accurate or helpful information\. While the resort looks nice, some areas clearly need more attention to detail\. The room we stayed in had loose floor tiles, peeling paint, and other maintenance issues that should have been addressed\. These may seem like small details, but they have a big impact on the overall guest experience\. The food quality and portion sizes also need improvement\. Given the prices being charged, guests should expect better quality and value\. Customers generally do not mind paying premium prices if the service, accommodations, and dining experience match the cost\. Unfortunately, that was not the case here\. This property has great potential, but it needs to invest more in staff training, maintenance, food quality, and overall attention to detail\. Guests expect value for the price they pay, and currently the experience falls short of that expectation\.

Superb Pricey but worth it

Room was clean, amenities were cool for the kids.

We loved our 2 day stay.. enjoying the lovely pool, relaxing grounds and lively bar. It had everything we were looking for

Everything is all in one place. Very convenient for multiple activities all in a close proximity Facilities are a little worn down. Broken pool tiles. Ripped headboards on beds. Dead fish and washed up clothing laying on beach

Loved staying here and can't wait to come back. It's perfect for a girls' weekend, couples' weekend or with kids. I've been in the fall and summer and looking forward to making another visit.

Menu options weren’t the best.

My one suggestion is better training for your servers. Most who helped us were super nice, but one or 2 seemed bothered that they needed to wait on us since we were eating around 9 pm. Also, there was one worker in the gift/ coffee shop who was not very friendly any of the times we visited. Normally, in high end resorts everyone is very welcoming.

Hotel room and pool area was nice! Hotel was very family oriented. Not many night time activities, bar closed early. If you want nightlife this isn’t the hotel for you. Otherwise, property was a bit outdated needed more maintenance and to be cleaned up around the pool/slide area.
