The Guesthouse Ocean View Cottages

Use caution if you’re traveling with children or pets. The unit relies on plug-in heaters, the stairs are slick, and we observed what appeared to be mold near the windowsill by the stairs. These were concerns for us. The space itself felt more like a converted garage than a traditional cottage. If you plan to be out most of the time and just need a place to sleep and shower, it may work. But if you’re looking to relax inside and enjoy a view, this may not meet your expectations. The older jacuzzi-style tub may appeal to some, but it wasn’t for us. We checked in and left within about an hour after realizing it wasn’t a good fit. When we reached out to property management, our concerns weren’t directly addressed, and the response didn’t reflect the issues we raised. We followed the proper channels through Booking.com and the property manager but were not offered a meaningful resolution. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision—just be sure to confirm the exact unit, layout, and view before booking.

LOVE THE JACOOZIE

The location. I would have liked a better ocean view.

This room was a sweet, compact, efficient space for our little family of 3. The highlights were the giant jetted tub and the amazing proximity to the beach not far from Haystack Rock. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Not a lot of frills, just a homey space to lay our heads down for the night. The appliances looked a little worse for wear but worked fine. The light switches/outlets were a little rickety and there was an empty space in one outlet with wiring showing through. Would have liked the ice trays to be filled.

It was a quick walk to the beach. Very cozy cottage and perfect for our needs. Quiet at night. In a nice neighborhood with great food options. I would definitely stay again. My dog loved it as well. That I wasn't able to stay longer due to my schedule.

The location was nice and having the kitchen was good The linen on the bed had stains and there was human hair on one of the bed’s, floor and a towel in the restroom .

Close to town Looked at parking lot. Hot tub IN room. Toilet child size height. Twin beds were pads on floor.

Love how it was walking distance from the beach. It smell bad & to pricey for what it looked inside.

The location was great. As was the view. The apartment was clean. But the housekeeper missed some items near the hot tub. And we could not get hot water.

The shower was terrible and the top of the fridge is very dirty.

We thought Ocean view meant on the beach its not on the beach. But the house was still nice and comfy and the jacuzzi was nice . The kitchen was great. And we'd stay there again 8 on a 10 scale. Not much Just that the only Ocean View is from the upstairs bedroom . When you say Ocean view it usually means from the main floor.

Big tub! With other people's hair in it. 11:00 check out, 11am someone knocking on our door to get out.

close to the beach, close the shops(coffee). two minute walk to the beach. did not have a broom, was hard to clean sand off floor.

Location was great, just a few blocks from Haystack Rock. We are both in our 70's and there was no mention of it being a second floor accommodation. We likely would not have booked with that knowledge. Also the bathroom sink drain was really slow. It needs to be snaked.

It was cleaned but so late. I liked the area. I thought there was ocean view from at least a bedroom. I reserved the room and thought it was winter rates? The whole cottage was filthy when I arrived. we called the given number and was told to go to dinner and it would be cleaned. Yes,it was cleaned. We were told $100.00 you would cover. Nothing so far. The coffee pot did not work. It said ocean view ...no
