Room was not as described

Great location. Good breakfast. Host was very friendly and helpful. Weak WiFi. Pillows could be better.

Such a great place to stay and wonderful hospitality.

The breakfast was generous and well prepared. We like Victorian houses, with all the wood trim and antique furniture.

The home is beautifully furnished and luckily we were able to book a room , in a practically ocean front location, at the last minute (week days) because the summer season is not yet in full swing. My partner’s family lives in Cape May and so the area and guest services are well known. We chose this place not for its close proximity to the beach, but because of the glowing reviews about the wonderful daily breakfasts. We were not disappointed in anyway. Our day started with a fresh fruit plate, filled with outstanding locally grown fresh fruit and tastily blended vanilla yoghurt. The Mediterranean frittata and fruit filled French toast with side salads were outstanding because each item was made with deliberate attention to herbs and paired tastes . We are “foodies” and this hostess’s culinary skills exceeded our expectations in Cape May which is filled with competitive restaurants and guest houses. Planning our next visit will be easy because we already know Beauclaire is the place we will stay .

Unfortunately, there was no "welcoming smile" from the B&B owner when we arrived after a very long drive fraught with traffic jams. Instead, she immediately pushed the bill in front of us and demanded payment. What a start to a lousy stay at this cramped and uncomfortable hotel. We stayed in a room on the second floor that was quite small (we picked it due to the walk-in shower). The room was very warm and stuffy (outside temps were in the 60s), so we used the in-room mini-split to lower the temp and turned on the overhead fan, but the room stayed stuffy the whole of our two-night stay. (Don't know how guests can stand staying on the third floor, which is the attic!) Breakfast was only seated at 9AM (no exceptions!), which was not served family style. We started with fruit and a spoonful of yogurt (I think she counted the number of blueberries and strawberries on each plate!), then a tasteless egg casserole with ONE slice of bacon and a coffee cake muffin (the muffin was delicious). After agreeing that we wanted orange juice, she poured half a glass (how generous!). Needless to say, we didn't bother attending breakfast the next day and instead ate out (well worth the expense). Our one regret was staying two nights instead of one. Needless to say, this was not the right choice for a quick stay in beautiful Cape May. The one positive about this hotel is its location: very close to the boardwalk and to the "downtown" shops/restaurants.

Unique blend, very tasty nothing

Comfortable, close to the beach, close to main attractions, good breakfast, comfortable bed, easy check-in and check out, parking on premises, and great hospitality.

Beauclaires is a cozy Victorian bnb with a serious breakfast. With a comfortable bed and a short walk to the beach it was the perfect place to spend a few days decompressing.

Location Nothing it was great

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect
-
Lovely Victorian house, beautifully decorated. Very close to ocean and restaurants. Nice breakfast and host. Can’t think of anything.
-
We loved the location near the beach and walkable to town

The host Joanne was really accommodating and welcoming. The house/ property itself was really unique and cozy. I had never stayed in a Victorian style home before. Also the location was top notch. It was right next to the beach and just a 5 min walk to the Washington Street Mall. The ramp to the driveway was a little steep but I guess that's what I get for owning a low car haha.

Location. Joe was great. Port before bed Was there in winter and the heat situation was uncomfortable. Heater worked fine but as the house is old I’m sure insulation is not great. So it would go on and off all nite.
