Great location and clean.

Property was quiet and separated from other commercial facilities. It was a great place to relax and enjoy.

The room was hygienically spotless and fresh. Simple amenities that all worked properly, including great TV service. The Pool was flawlessly clean with all the right towels ect. However, it was too cool for my taste it was about air temp, maybe high 60s, low 70s. The staff was helpful and pleasant with good office coffee and pastries. The Expedia prepaid was simple and quick ! This Inn is way underrated at 2 stars and I prefer it to other 3 and 4-star ones very close by to it. Plus the best deal around for a safe , clean pleasant and great-view motel.

It was nice to be in the valley this time staying at Carmel. Weather is warmer and more quiet than downtown. I had a last minute request with the front desk young lady Alex and she was able to provide the resolve it so quickly, it was much appreciated. Wonderful stay-extremely clean!

Honestly loved staying here. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the lawn games and pool. There is a music camp next door and we really enjoyed listening to the peaceful instruments. Our room was clean and well stocked. The only suggestion I have is to please put a mini fridge in every room! Other than that we will be back :)

It was so clean and quiet. I loved the patio area and the swimming pool. Very xlean and spacious room. The coffee in the room was not good.

It was cute and a pretty location with a nice patio outside our room Minimal furnishings and very low to the ground table and fridge were bit great for taller people like us!

Warm pool Must have a family room
-
The location was fairly convenient For the money- the bathroom was WAY unacceptable. Hair all over the floor, rust on the walls and a very stained bathtub. Water pressure was also abysmal

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Valley Inn. Wonderful location, serene and idyllic setting, with easy access to great restaurants, vineyards, farm stands, cafes, etc. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well lit. Plenty of parking, lovely outdoor area with pool and lounging chairs. Perfect spot to unwind and relax. Looking forward to returning to the Hidden Valley Inn.

Great location and walking distance to CV village. Beautiful, clean pool. Warmth and sunshine.

Off the beaten path, and worth the extra miles! Beautiful property, quiet and peaceful.
-
Location, quiet, and clean. Arrived at 4:36 and nobody at front desk, but we found our envelope. :-) Our room had a bit of a smell at first but was better once we aired it out.

Quiet, close to Carmel but off the beaten track a bit. Reasonable, and yummy donuts for breakfast.
-
Amazing , very peaceful and beautiful view.

Our one night stay here was great! A wonderful place to get away from the busy world

It was clean. Backyard lounge and pool area were nice. Cute back porch deck right off room in pool area. Slight wear and tear of room interior, i.e. cracked tiles on bathroom floor as well as flaws in tub/shower area. (Perception is dirty tub/shower when in reality it’s worn areas. Shower head did not work properly, as the handle didn’t work to control water flow. Cold water hit my body because I was unaware of the dysfunctional shower mechanism. Additionally the shower curtain was blowing into my body while showering. There is NO curved shower rod to keep curtain from hitting your body! The “breakfast” of coffee and donuts was a joke! Poor value perceived with not a decent “free” breakfast available AND price paid! Out of multiple hotel stays on this current extended trip, other than Disney hotel property, this was the worst overall, BUT highest price paid. Would only stay here in the future as an ultimate last choice. Room cost should have been $150-$175, NOT $249! Look for other hotel choice before staying here. Was a 12 mile drive from downtown Carmel by the Sea. As I used the late check/in procedure and it was dark, the numbering on the units is POOR, as I had to get out of the car to observe the correct room number. This likely isn’t a problem during the day!

Quiet, super clean pool, comfortable in beautiful surroundings. No microwave in room and office closes at 5 pm.

Great!!!! Great property and value!

This place has a simple but boutique hotel feel, nestled in an absolutely gorgeous little pocket of hills. A very calm and peaceful stay, I was happy with everything. There were also kittens near the front office! No complaints. If I had to pick on anything, the room we stayed in did not have a table and chairs in it, and a small one would have been nice. There were a table and chairs just outside the room on our area of the patio/veranda; we enjoyed sitting out there but would have liked another surface to put our stuff down on inside the room. That said, this did not detract from the overall experience, which was lovely.
