Extended Stay America Suites Pittsburgh Carnegie

When I booked this stay, I was unaware of their room service policy of only offering service 'every 2 weeks'. If I wanted clean towels I'd have to bring the used ones to the front desk. The staff at the front desk were absent at times. At other times they were hiding at the desk behind the wall and you had to get their attention for assistance. The absolute worst part of this stay was seeing a cockroach in the room. When I mentioned this to the desk at check out the woman said another guest had also complained about seeing a cockroach in their room. I was only offered an apology for the cockroach. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have had and I would highly suggest people find another place to stay when visiting the Pittsburgh area.

I will NOT be going there again!!

I've never had to ask for kitchen utensils or a coffee maker when renting a suite.

Weed, weed, weed smell every where in the hall ways. Not friendly for families with kids. We brought this to front desk person on duty. But I think, it’s nothing in their hands as well.

Roaches crawling on the walls, dead roaches under the sink and in the light fixtures. Soaking wet carpet around the AC unit with ants. Black moldy shower curtain that looked like it was dipped in mud. Stained carpet, door key not working properly, more…

The outside of hotel looked decent. Inside was terrible. Horrible smell, carpet stains, cigarette burns, marker drawings on the walls, just really bad inside:(

Convenient Gross, rude staff, smelly Rooms with nasty stains. Didn’t even feel comfortable showering there

Staff helpfully and friendly. Bad odor in room and hallway, i bought a candle. Key cards kept deactivating. Dirty ac and window tracks cob webs and dead bugs, tub plug didn't work. Breakfast not great. My carpet was gross

I booked this room last minute because we were flying into PIT late & didn't wanna drive 3hrs home afterwards. Our flight ended up delayed & we got in even later than expected at 3am. The night clerk (who was the only positive thing out of this experience) was super nice about it & offered us a late checkout. I even saw her write it down in some sort of little log book she had at her desk. However, there was obviously some miscommunication somewhere because "Methany the Maid" was at the door not once but 3x to very rudely let us know we didn't have permission to still be there. So upon leaving, I made sure to make my frustration known.. Methany the Maid lied to her boss saying she wasn't rude & only came to our door once. Methany was obviously mad she had to wait a little longer for her next fix... Poor thing! Needless to say, you should probably check with your night clerk to verify things before you come at your customers like that! Won't stay there again.

Horrible operation going on down there. Stay elsewhere

The staff was excellent …I’m an elderly woman traveling alone. I felt safe and accepted . It was all good.

The staff. The location. It was close to other nicer hotels, so anticipating a quality facility and room. Plus close to freeway access. My issue is with the condition of the facility. The room looked like it was put together with items from a yard sale. The hallways and room smelled horrible. Not my 1st Extended stay. Have always enjoyed. This hotel needs to be totally gutted or demolition. The tub water ran all night. No supplies for kitchen use, scratched/old furniture [night stands didn't match / one was a table] and toilet seat was loose [almost fell off]. Needed to work but couldn't even sit in work chair as it was damaged. The key slot was damaged; took a dozen attempts to unlock]. The rate was on the lower end, but definitely not cheap [motel 6 level environment with a La Quinta/Quality or Comfort Inn price]. Did not feel safe. Had more pics but limited accepted and cannot edit.

Staff was friendly. Pets are welcomed. The fcatpet in my room was gross. The sound wouldn't come on the TV.

Not enough light in room

Location easy on and off location. The staff were not very friendly. The toilet in our room did not work, told the front desk attendant and she simply said sorry and then was nasty when I went to grab a muffin because it was after 10 it was 1030. Meanwhile I had to fill the toilet with a cup from the sink to get it to flush. There was also black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Two of the wall lights did not work either. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

I reserved 3 rooms for after Morgan Wallen Concert 6/5/26. The hallways smelled like dog, one room smelled like cat pee and the other room smelled like cigarettes so bad I couldn’t sleep. The rooms were old, dirty and the carpet had missing holes in it. We were only there a few hours and the front desk is closed after midnight. The worst part was the smoke smell. It was in the air in my pillow and covers. My entire bag smelled when I got home.

Convenient location Not aesthetically pleasing - room and grounds.

Mildew all over shower and room, stains on my bed. Dirty microwave. Dusty, pet like hair on comforters. Pubic hair on clean wash towels.
