Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Rapids

We had a great stay. The room and the property was very clean.

Rooms were very spacious. Staff was helpful when needed. Only stayed 1 night but everything went well.

When I arrived -after exhausting multiple day drive - the hotel's computer system had crashed & they were UNABBLE to get me into my room (b/c I purchased thru 3rd party provider - I wasn't alone for several hours in lobby.) I was fInally given a "changing room" w/ NON-WORKING shower to wash/face & change - greatly appreciated) but still 2 hours late for my 4-hour event. When I returned after event my packed bags were still in "changing room" & staff seemed surprised I wanted to change rooms for my 2-night stay (yes, I need working shower!) So, exhausted, I had to move my things to another floor to my reserved HANDICAP-ACCESSIBLE room (too open/not welcoming - good luck trying to see TV from bed.) Two women at front desk tried to be helpful, were friendly - and liked ice machine on each floor - but I didnt like how EVERY SERVICE/AMENITY was monetized, nor sign saying "No Outside Food or Drink Allowed. A) Unwelcoming (HOW exactly would you enforce that?) B) I've food allergies/medical condition requiring VERY specific foods/drinks (I brought them in.) Hotel was nice - but WAY over-priced considering location/quality of room. Also, the "compensation" for my GREAT inconvenience on arrival was a free 8oz bottle of water (normally $2.) WOW (eyeroll.) General impression: very underwhelmed.

They serve breakfast, for a fee, and have a bar and the lounge area is of good size. The hotel is located on the northwest of Cedar Rapids and is easy to get to via the highway.

Nice location. Loved the stop.

350. a night worst case of price gouging i have ever encountered. This is the 3rd and last time I Booking.com

I want to especially thank Kathleen for helping me with my booking. I mistakenly forgot a night and she was able to help me to keep my room and get me the best price possible. I was so overjoyed to not have to change rooms or hotels. This is a great place to stay nearby a HyVee store, restaurants and right off the highway. They also have their own restaurant/ bar and little store to grab food or wine if you want to take it to the room. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

I did not have the breakfast. I may have had it if it was included. The room vibrated with the door slamming nearby, and you could hear people walking around above us.

Suggestion that hotel would be an outlet I. The closet so two females can get ready at the same time. Mirror and lighting great just not outlet for hair utensils. Bar was outstanding - Justin was outstanding. Will stay again if visiting this city.
