Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids North - Collins Road

Found a bed bug on my pillow and brought it to the front desk in a cup. I then had to book a new hotel. I ask for the manager to contact me. Never heard from the manager. Worst experience in any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. NEVER staying at a comfort inn again!

First floor accommodation.

Clean. Always available. Met Hotel employee in the dining area. She works hard to keep clean and everything filled.

Its all good@

It was all very average, nothing horrible and nothing spectacular.

Good

There are not enough character spaces to even begin. The issues started at check-in and continue clear until the point that our stay ended two days later. The manager was never there when we were told he would be there to speak with him. I would highly advise that anyone do not stay in this hotel. Dirty & humid

Very good

Pleasant

On a positive note the workout facility was decent and the breakfast was excellent. Staff was also nice.

Good

Fairly easy to get to off a main road. But parking was limited. Had to park on the street. Check in took awhile as the computer system was having issues. The staff did what they could but had to call a supervisor to figure out the problem. The room smelled a bit like bleach when we walked in so either take that as good or bad. Not much to the bedding and there was a stain on the comforter. The bed itself was comfortable and the AC worked well. The carpet felt like it had an oily/filmy residue. There were grab bars in the shower, which was good because the shower floor was slippery. Shower was hot and had good water pressure. Adequate breakfast food items and that area was clean.

Dirty

Nice clean room

Medium. No soap in tub area.

Staff was accommodating

Great experience from start to finish!

Hot tub didn’t work all week. It was disappointing.

Love the location. Nice breakfast. Hot tub didn’t work all week. It was disappointing.

When we checked into our first room, it was dirty and the floor was wet. We had also paid for a second room, and that room had a strong mildew and dusty smell. The front desk told us that our first room would be cleaned and ready within about 30 minutes and offered a $20 discount for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, it took closer to 50 minutes before the room was ready. When we returned, the carpet was still moist and the room had a noticeable mildew and dusty odor. The smell was very uncomfortable and made it difficult to feel like the room was actually clean. After staying overnight, I experienced sinus issues. While I cannot say for certain what caused these symptoms, the strong mildew and dust odor in the room may have aggravated my sinuses. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone who has allergies, asthma, sinus problems, or other respiratory issues. The cleanliness of the rooms and the strong odors were unacceptable and made for a very uncomfortable stay. In addition, the $20.00 discount that was promised was never applied.
