Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Was charge a total of three times the amount I’ve book my stay for, management hung up mid-conversation.

Very cheap looking hotel.

The reason I rated it, two is because of the size of the beds (doubles rather than Queens) and a very average breakfast. I guess I was hoping for more.

The room and common areas were clean. We had a double bed room. One bed was fine, the other was absolutely awful. Very squeaky and uncomfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. They put a hold on my card that still hasn't cleared. (Today is Monday and the charge was made Friday). I'm a little frustrated about that. I paid for the room with a different card so I've basically paid for the room twice. I'm hoping it comes back this week. We didn't use the pool or have breakfast.

The room service by text feature did not seem to work and I had to personally contact the attendant. Our bathroom sink had a foul odor and drained slowly. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean room and relaxing.

I booked thru Expedia and when tournament schedule changed, I was unable to make any reservation changes so had to pay for a night that wasn't being used. Also stated there was a washer and dryer. When I needed to wash uniform, front desk staff said it was broken and wouldn't be fixed/replaced until Sunday. Broken ice machine and just not worth the cost I was charged.

The breakfast area is a traffic bottleneck as most of the items are in a U-shaped corner.

The property was very clean, especially my room. I was very pleased. The housekeepers were very friendly and willing to assist. Parking was easy.

It served the purpose. It was right off the highway. The pool was a little chilly but it was exactly what was needed on a 90 some degree day

It’s an older property that appears to have been updated at some point in the past. Overall I would only rate it as a 2 star property. Also, not at all a good value for what we had to pay. I would not stay there again.

Room appeared to be clean as first glance. After I turned on the lights and opened the shade I noticed the carpet lacked vacuuming, bathroom floor was dusty. I noticed a chocolate chip and something else under the coffee table. There were French fries between the bed and night stand. The desk and tv area had a layer of dust. Overall the room needed a good cleaning. The trays that held the coffee packs was dirty with crumbs and dust. Either the room wasn’t used for quite a while or the people that’s cleaning, just really don’t care for a thorough job. Just a quick job. Like I said room overall looked clean when walked in, but further investigation found these things. I did find this quite Eure enterprising, considering it’s a Days Inn. I spent $200 to spend the night. I was a little high considering the conditions I have spent half that price in two star motel not far from there. I thought I would step it up and go to a little nicer place and spend the extra money. The other hotel was actually cleaner. Even the elevators were not clean.

Staff was super helpful and did amazing jobs. Hotel was clean and would stay there anytime I come up.

We were here for the state baseball tournament. Our room was super humid so much so that the sheets felt damp, smelled musty right when you walked in, mold in the ice buckets, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The air conditioner couldn’t keep up. It ran constantly. As soon as it shut off it kicked right back on. It was set at 61 but our room was no where near 61 degrees. I would have froze! Breakfast was not great. Another family in our group had a confirmation on his phone along with text messages for early check in. When he went to check in she said his room had been cancelled and they didn’t have a room for him. They had to drive 45 minutes to find a hotel where they had room. I personally would never stay here again.

Not a bad place to stay. Desk staff seem a bit unexcited and bothered about one checking in. Room is adequate. Ample parking. "Light breakfast" is not an understatement.

I accidentally booked two different Wyndham hotels for the same night, Cedar Rapids IA and Quincy IL. The management at the Cedar Rapids hotel refused to give me a refund. So I needlessly spent twice as much for one of my nights on my trip. The stay in Quincy was pretty good, but the management in Cedar Rapids is abysmal. I will no longer stay at Wyndham Hotels if they are unwilling to remedy an acknowledged customer error.

Easy and fast check in and check out. We were passing by the hotel on our way to the event we were in town for and stopped to see if we were able to check in 2 hours early. The staff said our room was available. This was a very big help for my family and greatly appreciated. Breakfast was simple but all items were good quality. Easy check out at 6:00 am.

Be cautios if staying here because our room was broken into with items stolen
