Bel Aire Motel Chamberlain Near Missouri River I 90

Rooms were very basic and fine for just an overnight stay

For the price and age of the building everything exceeded my expectations. There's also plenty of local options for food, I recommend the pizza and wing place down the street close to the river.

They stomped around loudly until 11pm and then at 3am when they dropped something huge on the floor right above my bed. And luckily there was no hot, warm, or even remotely non cold water of any type. It sucks because the people who run the place were very nice, but being woken up several times with loud stomping and nothing other than cold water, really sucked. I checked all three faucets and they were all only giving cold water. Of course I didn't check until morning.

Booked through Hotels.com, arrived at the hotel and was turned away due to overbooking. Unfortunately, the Bel-Aire hotel will not respond to Hotels.com to approve a refund, and Hotels.com will not refund without the property's approval, so I was charged for a room without being able to stay.

I had booked online and when we got there I was told that they did not have the room available and that they were having plumbing issues. The gal at the desk was apologetic and did state that a refund should be showing up on my credit card. As of this morning, the charge is still pending on my card.

The rooms were really nice and it was clean. I had an issue checking in and had to wait 30 minutes for my room. Luckily there’s a great little pizza place just down the street and I was hungry so it worked out. The staff were friendly. All in all it was a good hotel. It seemed like a bit of a sketchy area, but I didn’t have any issues.

Arrived early and they were still cleaning rooms. They let us in as soon as possible. Nice to have air conditioning. Place looks a little shabby on the outside but it was very comfortable.

The secret about the Bel-Air is room number 34, I had a double bed to myself which included two bathrooms a great air conditioner and quiet. The decor was something similar out of Uncle Bucks cabin. The bed was so comfy I almost slept through the checkout time. I hesitate to tell people but this is the best kept secret is room 34 The smoke detector needed to be replaced. On checkout I advised the front counter person, and she acknowledged.

I liked the rooms, and it wasnt too crazy or busy. More outlets for travelers charging many devices would be nice. Pillow was too soft, and my husband said the bed was uncomfortable. Coffee pots in room are a nice touch it could use!

The door would not lock. The door would not close. There were bed bugs. Over 3/4 of the people staying there were permanent residents. It was so disgusting and nasty. This place needs to be removed from Booking dot com. It's a disgrace that they're advertising this. When we finally got the door to close, it would not open! The fire department was almost called because the door wasn't able to be opened.

The manager was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and very spacious. There is plenty of parking and the stay was great

I came in super late unfortunately, but the lady behind the counter was gracious and got us settled quickly. Highly recommend!

Property being used as low rent accommodation. Was untidy. Booked room not available on arrival. Staff seemingly unconcerned.

Nothing. It was a dump Management seemed to be drugged, the room was not ready and it looked nothing like the pictures. Did not feel safe enough to stay. Not refundable but we went elsewhere. Surprised it was even listed with your company.

Don't let the appearance of this place discourage you from staying here, If you're looking for a clean place to crash for the this is it. No bells and whistles but I'd stay again
