Home2 Suites by Hilton Champaign/Urbana

I’ve stayed in MANY H2S it’s ll my husband and I stay in. The breakfast at the Champaign H2S was not so good. It was sloppy! Bacon on the floor, they were out of coffee and when I told the staff at the desk the coffee was gone the answer was “ok” and she never got any. I had to drink decaf that morning. She just stood there even though she had no customers around. I went to the grocery next door for a container of creamer since there was none out. The next day they refilled the creamer. I had to ask for to go cups as there were none out! They don’t refill anything. The waffle machine was filthy and everyone’s waffles were sticking. Probably the worst H2S I’ve stayed in! Sadly this trip was for my 84 year old mother and probably her last to her home town of Champaign. The room was clean as they always are! An extra roll of toilet paper would have been nice we needed up using all the Kleenex as toilet paper. Our stay was only 4 nights and just 2 of us. Starting with 1/2 roll of toilet paper didn’t work for us. Very spacious room and clean! Which is most important to me.

The flatware for breakfast was unusable because it was so dirty. There was food crusted on. The health department should see this. I only ate things that could be eaten by hand. Gross. Just get some plastic forks and spoons. All else about the stay was great.

The AC was very loud-- like having a generator running in the room all night.

Nice place

The pillows were not the greatest especially if you want a goodnight sleep. Breakfast wasn't good either. Overall, just ok for an overnight stay.

Our carpet outside the bathroom had a large wet area. Even after a fan all day, it wasn’t dry. They offered to change rooms, but ours was an accessible one, w/roll-in shower-not available., and an elevator down. Then one of our TV’s didn’t work- had to have someone repair it. Breakfast was very limited and minimal, and one day my knife still had dried egg on it.

That front desk young man let me move to a room that everything worked The TV in the room didn't work and the maintenance head guy was rather rude

The stay was good as the beds were very firm and pillows were well used and flat. Plus the linens on beds were stained or not changed as there was evidence of some type of fluids on pillow cases

Fake eggs of the complimentary breakfast looked terrible. The box that stored the eggs was packed, and it was very hard for me to retrieve anything.
