When we entered the room we were surprised to see a full size fridge and dishwasher plus the cute little stove top. I wasn’t expecting that when we booked. Plus the “Welcome Joy” greeting on the TV was fun! The shore was luxurious and so was the bedding. We enjoyed a nice rest after a busy day of moving our student in. The breakfast was delicious and well stocked. We didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy the amenities. We didn’t arrive until after 10:30pm and left before 10am.

I liked the location and the parking space. It's very easy to reach the campus or downtown urbana. Check in was easy and staff was helpful when asked. We stayed for almost a month in the end, and there was cleaning 3 times only. The grills downstairs are disgusting, desperate for cleaning and maintenance. There is saltpeter on the ceiling above the swimming pool. The Hotel is desperately needing maintenance. Breakfast was standard, but many days cutlery missing, coffee cold... There is a lot to do there. It can be a great hotel, needs a proper handyman doing maitenance there and perhaps a happier cleaning team.

Very clean and spacious. Great shower. Not enough dishes for 4 people. No ice bucket. No hooks to hang towels in the bath. No USB plugs

Nice room, clean facilities

Room was almost 700 square feet. Breakfast was good. Check-in was a problem. Room was not ready for almost 45 minutes.

Room was very quiet, which I very much appreciated. The breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about. There was a variety every day - so that was appreciated. Room was very clean & the hotel is located near the local custard shop!

Very nice hotel

The breakfast buffet had lots to choose from and tasted good too. Plenty of seating for families. The room was spacious and included the bedroom separate from the kitchen and living area.

Property was very nice and convenient for my trip. Nice pool and very clean, swimmers said water was chilly but a bit humid and hot for those of us watching. Breakfast was just ok. No cups for coffee, no forks or napkins while we were dining. Room was perfect!!

This property is in a great location, and definitely has great space. That being said, it needs a refresh, IMO. And there was clearly a lack of attention to cleaning in the rooms. Public areas seemed in better shape and there is a very nice breakfast room with good light and wired tables for work space if needed. I had high hopes based on reviews and knowledge of the Homewood Suites brand, but will probably look elsewhere for future stays if pricing is similar.

Other than the breakfast being bland it’s as advertised

Room was spacious and clean; beds were comfortable; kitchen well appointed. Breakfast was good -- some issues with utensils, but food was plentiful. Room did not include bedding for the sofa bed, but front desk responded quickly when asked. There do appear to be some staffing issues -- front desk not always staffed, and kitchen/housekeeping seemed overworked. Our biggest complaint is less about the property than it is about Expedia: We were forced (by car trouble and weather) to cancel our first night. We called Expedia to inform them; the person with whom we spoke said she would talk to the property to see what could be done. She returned to say that we wouldn't get the night refunded (a hope, but we knew an unrealistic one) but that the other two nights were still booked. We asked again for confirmation of that; she said yes, they were still booked. When we arrived at the property, the person at the desk looked very confused and said that our stay had been canceled in its entirety. We got the situation remedied in 10 minutes, so no harm -- but foul. Whether the Expedia representative didn't do their job or whether the problem was at Homewood isn't really important -- the fact remains that we were misinformed by Expedia, who is not merely the messenger but the party responsible for the booking. I am considering switching to another booking service, and while I realize this is a fantasy, I believe Expedia owes us a refund for the night we lost there. Disappointing.

Great service! Great pool!
-
The hotel is located in a good part of the city. It’s very clean and having a small kitchen was excellent. We did not eat breakfast. The air-conditioning worked just fine.
-
Simply fantastic. Very, very clean and the A/C was ice cold. Highly recommended.

everything was great

The room was clean, however no tissues in the tissue box and when we had used 1 roll of TP midway through our trip, it wasn't replaced by housekeeping, I had to ask at the desk for that. Trash cans are exceptionally small for a room with a kitchenette. TV's need a significant upgrade. It's 2026, not having the ability to stream is crazy especially when you only offer 40 channels at an extended stay type of hotel. Breakfast was okay, but offering pork carnitas with no tortilla or anything was an odd option. Overall no major issues, just small off-putting things. Pool is small, but was a nice temp and comfortable to swim in.
