Comfortable spacious room..

This hotel, located right across the street from the Charleston market, is updated and well maintained for older properties. The staff was exceptional, providing incredible hospitality. The hotel’s convenient location makes it easy to explore the city’s many activities. We’ll definitely be returning.

Thank you

Did not make my bed. Valet did not park my car. In fact, was charged a parking ticket. Breakfast was not great.

Although the room was clean, there was a terrible foul smell apparently propagating from the individual room A/C, that was very loud even with lowest fan settings. At the end we turned the A/C off. A sleepless night.

We really liked staying at this hotel, which was our first time. Ryan, the filling GM for the property was spectacular. He was extremely helpful and attentive when we needed him to assist due to an issue with our AC in our room. He was able to move us to a really nice room where we were extremely comfortable! Caroline was also a really nice hotel agent. She was super informative as well as Ryan when trying to give us local information on where to go around the city. We really enjoyed our stay, I’m sure the hotel as far as upkeep of the property will get much better once their new GM starts. But we really love the team of people working there, not to forget Johnny and Dylan who assisted us with moving rooms getting our luggage to and from the car. The location is perfect and walkable in all of downtown Charleston. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip out!

We loved the breakfast, wine and cheese hour, and evening cookies! The proximity to all of the historical sites was excellent.

Location wonderful. Staff knowledgable and very helpful. Breakfast and evening snack were first rate. Service very considerate

Great service

Quaint beautiful hotel with great staff. Free light breakfast. Wine and cheese in the evenings. Walkable. Would stay there again. Only drawback is you can’t get your valet’d car anytime you want it.

Our stay was okay. However, parking was a nightmare. Parking for guest is 3 to 4 blocks away and is managed by third party. The parking pass that you get is postcard size and doesn't hand on your mirror. So, if it slides off your dashboard, you are screwed. Parking management are total trolls and will ticket you and boot your car even if your parking pass is valid. I would recommend valet parking so it falls the hotels shoulders for any issues with your auto.

The staff was gracious about storing our luggage before our room was ready and also after CK out time as we had a few hours to wait for our flight. It will do the trick but don't expect the Four Season { which is going in next door in the near future}.

The ground floor room was terrible. I would not recommend. Carpet was filthy, shower had black mold around the trim and did not drain properly. The room was stuffy and humid even with a/c on 24/7. Air conditioner needs to be updated immediately. It made for an unpleasant stay in the room. The staff was very nice and gracious. The breakfast and happy hour made up for the disappointing room.

Wonderful staff. Super clean very convenient. We’ll be back.

The staff was super kind and helpful and the room itself was spacious, comfy and clean. The pool was small and a bit dingy and it would've been so much better if there was a fitness center. The continental breakfast was standard, coffee was good and ice machine was clean. I also loved that they had a bottle filling station. One thing is they should allow a cigarette on the balcony or a designated area of the patio. My husband had to walk behind the building to have a smoke

Great walking distance to market and other sites in downtown! There was construction going on beside the hotel that could be noisy and takes away from the view.
-
Great stay and a perfect location.

Last time I stayed was 40 years ago, and I felt at home the moment I walked in the lobby to check in..lots of memories, I stayed there at least once a week for at least 5 years until I moved north and almost everything is the same with the exception of some upgrades…..I wish the rest of downtown Charleston retained its charm like The Meeting Street Inn.

The commode in the room was not flushing when we arrived. I called and let the desk know. They dropped a plunger off at the door for me to take care of the problem! It was an ongoing problem all weekend. I continued to let the front desk know and they just said they would note it. Also the AC wasn’t working properly. It was set on 62 but the room temp remained at 76 or above.

The property was in a good location but it is in need of a refresh in a serious way. The Ac was ineffective and the bed was old and not comfortable. The continental breakfast every day was nice but ran out very quickly. Bottom line it was not a great value for the rate.
