Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlottesville, VA

Just ok. Upon arrival we discovered fingernail clippings on the bathroom sink, dust & hair inside the dresser, mold in the bathroom, couch was falling apart, had a strange odor. House keeping didn’t come at all during our stay, even after I requested a clean. The maintenance man knocked on the door and then automatically entered while we were inside the room- which is a safety concern especially when traveling solo with two kid, the dishes in the cabinet had food stuck on them, a pregnancy test was left on top of the of the bathroom towel shelf which fell off when grabbing a towel (gross) The pool was closed for the first two days (during a major heat wave) which was pretty inconvenient- after they finally opened it the chemical smell was so bad we couldn’t even swim. The pool was extremely cloudy & dirty same with the hot tub. Looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There was no pool towels. I stayed here 2 and half years ago and didn’t have any issues- seems like this hotel really went down hill since. it was convenient having a kitchen but it didn’t have any soap, sponge, or dishwasher liquid, trash bags, etc. overall for the price I paid I could have stayed at the Omni, I would never stay here again. 2/10

A good stay over all. The pool was down the first day we were there. One of the main reasons we stayed here was for the pool. I will say this is the best staff I have ever seen all of them were great. You all are blessed and should give all of your staff members a pay raise at the Charlottesville location. The breakfast was also very good and the room was clean. I would stay here again for sure.

Todo estuvo excelente excepto la piscina , estaba cerrada y se la habíamos prometido a mi hijo estábamos celebrando su cumpleaños y se molestó mucho porque esta situación, muy decepcionado

I really liked the room and amenities The bathtub was old and stained. There were a lot of large dogs everywhere

Very friendly. Large rooms. Lots of places for my 4 grandkids to play at the pool and in the large courtyard.

Property was clean, spacious and well appointed.

Staff worked endlessly to make the hotel look excellent. Appreciate all that they did. Pool area was very warm. Had to open the doors for fresh air.

Only complaint was child size toilets in the room....

I would love to stay here again! The property had great ammenities, like several areas with seating, indoors and outdoors. Everything was well-maintained. My room was great, with places for all my things :)

Quality of breakfast choices was good. Easy access to the Univerity.

Great hot tub! Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good. The room definitely looked different than the pictures provided. I booked a room with what looked like there would be a divider between the couch and bed, however, upon check in, the room did not look like that. When I asked the front desk, they informed me that none of the rooms look like the pictures on the website. The room still wasn't terrible though! Just beware of this.

Nice, quiet place. Good parking. I arrived late and the microwave popcorn in my welcome bag saved me from starvation! Recommended.

People were using that bathroom since 6:30 am, and I could hear everything. Maybe it was my fault for trusting her but please maybe just be a little more thoughtful next time. Btw, there were other rooms available. Also breakfast eggs tasted funky.
