Old shagy carpet, no breakfast hardly customer around.

The reason for only 4 stars - our room was located next to the ice machine area, so I was awaken at 1:30am by someone getting the ice. I noticed that anytime I book a hotel room through Expedia, the hotel always tries to give you a room at the worst location of the hotel or the room for handicapped people where sinks are lower than usual so you end up bending more to use them. I think Expedia should address this issue with the hotels.

The young lady that worked the 3-11 shift and 7-3 the next morning was very professional. I would stay at this property again. We were visiting UVA, because my niece is thinking about attending UVA. Great visit

Great place to stay anytime your in Charlottesville

Checked in at 9:30pm and front desk staff was no where to be found. After wandering into lobby conference rooms, kitchen and service hallway no person was there. Knocked on an office door even. After about 20 minutes someone walked out from somewhere saying don’t be mad it’s only me here. Also she said holiday inn just last week discontinued their complimentary breakfast. Not a great way to end the day. Luckily the room was quiet and bed was comfortable.

Friendly staff the front desk was super nice and remembered our son’s name. Nothing.

It was terrible. My room had mildew and mold and when moved to another room it smelled like pure smoke.

The property was old and not well maintained. Lightbulbs were burnt out the rooms were dark, stains in the toilet. No water came out do the faucet if you turned it to hot, only cold. The handle of the faucet hit the mirror so you couldn’t turn the water all the way on. And not that this is properties fault perse but around 1am the neighboring room starting smoking pot for several hours. And the beds were springy and old. Just an overall dump!

The staff was excellent- I had a problem that she offered the perfect solution for. She apologized (even though it wasn’t the hotels fault) and corrected the issue quickly and professionally. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel pool was closed (renovation) and the exercise facility had minimal weights. Breakfast was good and always had dress cold water and coffee available. Overall a very good place to stay (stayed 3 night), and will do so again.

Our suite was very nice. Actually the master bathroom was really nice. A huge walk in shower. The only suite I have stayed at that had a half bathroom as well.

Finally a mid level hotel which was clean and presentable. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was basic but was to be expected. Coffee was bold and the ac cold. 😊. Will stay here again when I have to come back.
