Motel 6 Claremont, CA

Was in California because of a family emergency. Booked a room at 1:00 AM. Hotel told me I couldn’t check in until 3:00PM. When I talked to the man at the front desk, I was told I could check in if I paid an additional $120 plus tax. I lost out on money because they couldn’t accommodate me.

POOR SERVICE

You get what you pay for. Its a Motel 6. The walls are thin, the "blanket" is thin and itchy. Our TV was in a different language so we had a hard time finding something to watch. When we told the front desk the clerk laughed and was like, "huh, that's weird." But the size of the room is nice. No issues with the bathroom. The landscape is well kept so dogs have somewhere to use relieve themselves. The A/C is EXCELLENT. It's not a bad motel, I would still recommend if staying a brief time.

Convenient location It’s an old building that is clearly needing work but it is sufficient for the price

It was super convenient and inexpensive. We were moving our son into college and it was an almost direct shot to campus. The balcony was very angled, so you felt kind of drunk when getting to the room.

Very sketchy. Families avoid. Room had widely cracked mirror, smoke detector on a chipped old wooden bureau, rust on bathroom fixtures, no fire sprinkler on ceiling, stains on wall, graffiti marking on bathroom wall. Wall with patches of primer not painted, blanket with stains, intense bleach smell. High risk stolen/damaged car - unsecured parking lot immediate access to freeway. Unhoused mentally ill people roaming around property. Staff not responsive to concerns - general manager never available and never called back given card with number that is not picked up and no voicemail. Local friends say this Motel 6 has a bad reputation- unsafe activity

Very clear Model 6. Best part about it, not in a terrible neighborhood

The location was decent. The room smelled very badly of cigarette smoke and urine. There were bugs in the room. The curtains were ripped and the bathroom door was warped and didn’t close all the way. There were marks on the walls and chipped paint. The handle for the sink faucet was broken. No one came to clean the room or give us fresh towels and we were there for three nights. Although the price was nice, it was not worth it for the condition of the room and the service we received. The outdoor area looks nice but don’t be fooled into thinking that means the inside of the rooms are nice.

It was really clean and everyone is very nice the workers are very helpful I’ll be back here soon once day!
