Howard Johnson by Wyndham Clearwater / Dunedin

My room was clean but the bathroom was less than. I could still see hair in my drain from the last guest and the toilet was not clean on the sides of the toilet bowl . And I could be not nitpicking but in a hotel where germs are many the bathrooms should be extra. The gentlemen who works the front desk in the morning clearly hates his job. And I wouldn’t call what they serve a breakfast the bagels were stail there was no butter for the waffles the coffee tastes like water. I mean you literally get what you pay for but to be claimed by the Wyndham and operate like a motel 6 is a little shameful.

The room was very nice, large and comfortable, there were people hanging around the property, a little uncomfortable People hanging around the parking lot, and the common area

Breakfast was not very good. Only sweet choices. Napkins would have been nice.

Clean room and staff was great.

Nothing The room I was given was covered in mold, all over the ceilings, lamp shades etc. i came to the front to tell them about the situation and that it was not acceptable. They didn't even apologize. They seemed to care less that a room full of mold could make someone sick. They gave me another room which happened to be right next to the first room given. the ductwork probably has mold in it too and travels from room to room. Needless to say I was so turned off I didn't even stay in the room.

Clean room, easy parking. Breakfast was fine, fresh and consistently replenished but limited. Staff was efficient and helpful. The property is a little worn and the bedding, while clean, was very stained. The biggest drawback here was the location- it faced a large road that was loud and under construction, and we got to listen to the police speed trap pull people over directly across the road all night long for 2 nights. No fault of the owners- but it impacted our stay.

Limited to none hot water

Booked tru Travelocity the same night. Got to the property and they didn’t hv hot water. The service desk person said it’s been like that for a few days. I didn’t even checked in.

Staff is very friendly.

Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked. Thank you.

Room was clean; bed was comfortable; tv didn’t work we noticed it was not plugged in and it seemed it was unplugged because it was the only way to turn it off and on. The remote didn’t work so it was stuck on one channel. The phone in the room didn’t work so couldn’t reach staff. The toilet seat cover was loose. Tightened enough to be able to use.

The pool was great. The continental breakfast was extremely lacking any protein items, all carbohydrate choices.

Accessible location, not too far from the beach The bed headboard was peeling a bit and the bathroom is cramped, hard to open and go into the bathroom

Everything was good for the price 👍

In an ideal location There were some drug activity going on g on in the back portion of the property

Unfortunately, the property does not look like the pictures so don’t go by that. The front desk staff is extremely rude every single one. The rooms are old. The towels are old. At the front desk they sell soda and some snacks and the price chart shows reasonable prices, but some of the staff in flights. The prices clearly pockets the money. Did I mention the overcharge and they also won’t let you use the rewards number so you can collect points and you can’t argue with them because then they just threaten yin an undertone that they will kick you out. Do yourself a favor stay somewhere else.
