Tropical Inn & Suites

We will be returning!

Very good

Very poor

Proximity to BayCare Sound venue. $10 card charge to park and same charge added to a 2 dollar coke from a vendor machine.

Enjoyed our one night stay at Tropical Inn. Great location if you’re attending a concert at the BayCare Sound, easy to walk or Uber to Cleveland Street district restaurants, bars and the Capitol Theatre. This was our second stay here, highly recommend.

Clean room and friendly staff

Close to downtown Clearwater for a great price. Quiet location. Updated bathroom. Bed was harder than I prefer. The micro wave oven wasn’t working but the manager came immediately and fixed the problem. Very much, appreciate the prompt attention.

Nice and quiet area. Room was good, wish it had a coffee pot though. No extra toilet paper or towels. Had to contact staff to get some.

Location patio area pool Nothing

super convenient location, friendly staff, cozy hang out area by the pool!!

Room was clean staff was friendly! Paying for parking kind of sucked but wasn’t bad 10 dollars a night.

Great hotel at a good location at a reasonable price! Clean room and very friendly and helpful staff.

Exceptional

It was perfect size and adorable space! All situated around a pool and nicely kept courtyard. The owners were lovely and very attentive. I truly enjoyed my stay!

The property was cute and festive and the decor stood up to its name. The only issue I had was I don’t think it’s fair for the staff to charge for hotel parking. It’s not like it’s Valet parking. Other than that, I had a very lovely stay.

Was okay. Pool was good. Beds were comfortable and it was clean and quiet.

Location, staff and cleanliness Water pressure in shower was a little weak. The room was a little warm for my liking

The staff was so kind and attentive. The courtyard is adorable and well kept! The pool was very cleanly and most of the time, I had it to myself. The bathroom within my room was clean and the shower was great. The beds were just what I needed for my stay, but I mean its a motel bed so its not going to be like your own comfortwise. I would stay here again. There was kind of a weird smell to the room until I got used to it. I don't know if to describe it as chemical-ish or plastic-ish but once I got used to the space it was okay.

Tropical Inn is an okay place to stay if you just need a place to crash for a night or two, but if you are looking for a decent hotel experience at all, do not stay here. It is located close to a bus stop, but the price isn’t cheap enough to make up for the complete lack of amenities and somewhat dirty and broken down rooms. The shower was pretty dirty, the air conditioner leaked yellowish water, the cabinets were missing drawers and doors, and the TV didn’t work. The host desk was frequently unstaffed, although there was a number you could call if you really needed something.
