Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cleveland by IHG

The key card system was not working so there was not a key card to get into your room. Each time you needed to get into your room a member of the staff had to go to the room with you to open the door. The lunch room was under construction. The small area for breakfast and coffee was not pleasant. Went across the street to get coffee instead. Room coffee pot was dirty. My first room the air conditioner was leaking and the carpet was wet. I was moved to another room and the refrigerator leaked. I put a towel on the floor and stayed in that room. The bathroom commode had bad stains. The shower drain had what looked like mold around it. The elevator walls were torn with a big hole. The "under construction" was not noted on the website at all. Probably would not have stayed there if we knew this.

Older hotel in need of a complete renovation. The lobby was under construction. Room keys were not available so the concierge had to let you in your room every time. I expected better for $150+/night.

The staff made the experience great overall — everyone from the front desk staff to the maintenance guys. The hotel was definitely in a transitional state, though. The first room they put us in literally had wet carpet from a leaking AC. The room we finally got into was okay, but the toilet leaked onto the floor the whole trip, and we needed to get staff to let us into the rooms because they couldn’t make us a key (the machine was broken). Overall, I would say that the rooms were way too expensive for the experience that we had.

There were people standing around the hotel smoking. There was a card game going on in the lobby. It was just too much

The breakfast was good the breakfast area was clean; the staff was attentive and friendly. The room was clean and will be better once the renovations are done.

Roaches in bathroom, bedroom, and stairwell, a broken elevator, staff trapped in elevator, my 92 y.o.uncle had to get lifted down 3 flights of stairs, air conditioners and refrigerators didn’t work, & renovation while having breakfast was unsanitary,

Overpriced for a hotel that is under renovations. It was not noted that they were under renovations during booking which would’ve been nice to know. We couldn’t use the gym because it was off limits and we didn’t use the pool because it was a bit on the green side. The rooms were clean and the AC was already on when we got there which was nice. I’m sure it’ll be a beautiful renovation but you need to lower that price.

The hotel was under construction and there were several guests expressing issues with their rooms, me included. The staff was very accommodating, understanding, and friendly.

Would like to see how it’s going to look after the renovations. Dining area had a lot of towels around the bottom of the counters. May want to consider adding more juice options for breakfast.

Property was in the middle of a renovation. Our room was finished! It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location.

Beds were nice, AC was good. Breakfast so so, once they ran out of something wouldn’t replace sometimes. Still remodeling. A little pricy for how it is now

The room was very clean and welcoming. The staff was wonderful and I had no problems at all.

Breakfast-orange juice tasted like it was watered down. Was not good to drink. The pancake machine did not work. The coffee was good and the cinnamon rolls were also.

They are currently remodeling mostly down stairs. The staff is great!! Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful! Area was keep very clean and a good variety of food.

There were no towel racks installed in the bathroom No toilet paper holder The hot water was so hot it would have scalded you. The men restroom in the lobby would not lock because the lock was put on backwards. The fruit for the breakfast provided was not fresh (black bananas) What was great about the staff was Raymond at the desk. He was excellent.

The Place is a mess and under construction... I would not be charging the rate they are for this. The TV is not a SMART TV and the bathrooms are aweful and nasty. No Issues, no extra towels, we had to keep asking them to re- activate our room key.

This was probably the worst hotel stay I have ever encountered. No parking, remodeling going on, and elevator broken. I didn't get in until 2 am and but checkout is at 11, which is fine but the lawnmower starting at 745 am and then housekeeping knocking on door asking if I needed towels at 9:20am. Really??? Felt more like she was making sure I was not oversleeping so I could get out of room on her schedule.

They’re in the middle of a renovation. That information would have been handy before I booked-especially since the ELEVATOR WAS UNAVAILABLE!
