The location was good- easy access to Couldcroft village. Beds & linens were clean. It felt safe, well lit parking lot. The restaurant had decent food and the evening wait staff were friendly, accommodating and provided excellent service. The themed room was over-the-top, at the expense of the practical needs of a traveler. Too many tchotchkes! No place to sit (if they didn't have a fake castle barn door, the nook would have fit a small sofa & decent light source or provide a place to put your suitcase. The fan over the beds could not be turned off (former guest took the remote). Manager Tried to figure out how to turn it off, but couldn't; so we were told, "you'll have to deal with it"; and didn't offer another room. Didn't bring light bulbs for the ones burned out over the beds. The room was dark (Harry Potter room). It only had small fake candle sconces that were more night light than room light. The bathroom tile grout was failing from a really bad DIY slate tile job that wasn't sealed properly (hence soap scum on the slate). The ceiling in the bathroom had creepy stalactites formed from plaster&wire and painted with glow-in-the-dark paint (theme of a cave?- WEIRD!), which was also was beginning to fail because of moisture. We ran out of TP (there was only one prior partial roll) A blue neon light along the entire back wall (again HP castle theme?) could not be turned off and made it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, we booked two nights. One night would have been tolerable, but two sleepless nights with blue neon light in my eyes and cold wind from the inoperable ceiling fan was untenable.

supper and breakfast were good. The mattress seemed to have been used for many years. it had like a hole where your butt was. made it somewhat uncomfortable.

food was great, service not that good waitress not very friendly

It was very unique and charming.

Good The bathroom needs a shelf for toiletries and some hooks to hang a robe and clothing. A bar in the shower would have good and som anti slip strips. Loved the housekeeper Tori..also Vicki who checked us in and out…so accommodating and pleasant.

Each room is individually decorated with a unique theme, last time we stayed here it was the photography/camera room. This time it was the Harry Potter room. Well done! Plus the bed was comfortable and we slept all night. Nothing

It's a funky hotel, and the beds and room were comfortable, and the owners were very helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent, and I parked right outside my room. I didn't realize until I was almost there that Cloudcroft was a small Alpine town, about 9800 ft elevation, with tall pines! So different from the hot deserts all around it.

All was good.

I especially liked the way our room was decorated, it was all about older cars, garage and tools and stuff, since I am a mechanic it was really nice, room number 12

Very quaint, and welcoming boutique motel in a great location downtown Cloudcroft. Loved the themed room decor. We were in the Gillian’s Island room Parking is limited and tight fit
-
Very cute rooms and walking distance to restaurants. Seemed pricey for the room.

Loved, loved, loved our stay at the Dusty Boots Motel. Each room is decorated in themes. Our room was Harry Potter and it was amazing! So much attention and detail went in to decorating it. The beds were super comfortable and the tv was a large 50” with all apps loaded. You just need to log in. The breakfast at the Cafe was amazing as well. This will be our go to motel in Cloudcroft on all future trips. It topped The Lodge at Croftcroft by far! I highly recommend Dusty Boots for your next stay. It was truly amazing! Nothing!
