Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia South Fort Meade Area

The front desk representatives were very nice! When I arrived, I had to do laundry. The laundry room only had ONE (1) washer and ONE (1) dryer for the entire hotel (2nd floor)! The laundry rm was very humid, like the dryer exhaust was not connected. On the 4th floor, there was a water leak on the hallway ceiling (near rooms), upon exiting the elevators. In the room I stayed in, there were very small nats flying around, and the bathroom soap dispenser ran out of body soap before I finished my shower (virtually empty when I began my shower)! I would not stay at this hotel!! Please note, after rating this hotel "Poor" and "Disappointing", the auto ratings still ranked this hotel as 3 out of 5 stars; this hotel ranks more like 2 out of 5!!

The breakfast offered was good, a nice variety of foods were offered. The location was very good as it was only a couple of miles from the office. I requested to NOT be on the first floor, but that's where they put me. When I checked in and went to my room, I found the door ajar. I entered the room to discover that the door did not close appropriately, I had to physically and forcefully close the door. It looked like the door frame had been damaged and not fixed very well. I then discovered that none of the 3 lamps in the room worked. I stopped at the front desk and they had the lighting issue corrected, but not much done about the door. Toward the end of my stay, I discovered that floor near the outside wall was soaking wet.

The room was clean but just adequate. The bathroom in particular always seemed to be damp. It also appeared to be recent repairs done regarding flooring near the plumbing fixtures. In the room itself excessive moisture was noted the first night of our stay.

Great staff from start to finish. Room was larger than expected, very clean and everything worked. Walls were not thin, I was beating my girl p***y up, and I know no one heard. Cause if they did, they would’ve called the police.

Clean room, clean surroundings, and all of the staff were accommodating and friendly.

Not enough towels in the bathroom. At night we got cold and were not able to control the ac unit. Their garbage cans were extremely small.

The door to both our room and the bathroom were stuck. We had to use our body weight to open the room door and it was impossible to fully latch and close the bathroom door. The room had a musty odor. Not our best stay.

The property was neat and clean. The room was spacious with a quality tv and a room darkening shade on the window. Our room had two queen beds. The first bed we tried was incredibly uncomfortable. The mattress was broken down and the area at the head of the bed ran down hill. Fortunately the other bed was better, but if we had needed two separate beds, it would have been quite unpleasant.

Good hotel with good service, a convenient location, and nice staff. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. The location is very convenient—close to restaurants, shops, which made getting around so easy!

Enjoyed my stay. I wanted to stay another night but needed to get home.
