Ramada by Wyndham Columbia

The Location wasn't bad & the Staff were all friendly....those are probably the only positive things about the Place. Ugh! The Hotel was old. The Hallways & Room smelled like Mildew. The Towels were practically see through. The Sofabed sheets didn't seem fresh or clean. The A/C & the Carpets both need a deep cleaning. Never walked around in the Room without my Flip Flops on. It should be a crime to charge $750 for the Weekend to stay in this big of a dump! Ugh

The pool was nice, staff was friendly and very nice.

Smelled like smoke.

I got two rooms. Both smelled musty/mold. Staff was helpful and the room was quiet considering the hotel was feet away from an interstate and a main highway. The bathroom door did not close and had a hole in it as if punched. I expected more for the price and the Wyndam name on it.

The only true benefit was the price. It did have good hot water and good water pressure. The room was in disrepair, sheetrock was cracked and stained, hvac controls did not work, shower was not clean. I would not stay again.

Location Old and needs to be renovated. Breakfast needs help. Itty bitty soap. Had the feeling of a motel instead of a hotel.

My room smelled of dog. The carpet was dirty (turned white socks black) which most likely contributed to the odor.

Nothing, this place was disgusting. Very loud area, black mold in the bathroom and the room had a foul odor.

It was quiet during sleeping hours, even with being that close to the highway What is everything about the property? The only thing was the room smelled of mildew our dog yarn and when I woke up in the morning, my clothes were on the desk were wet, so there was a lot of condensation in the room at night.

The room was clean and comfortable. It more than exceeded our expectations. The location was conveniently located to the place we were visiting in Columbia. The only problem that was an issue was the road construction in Columbia and around the Motel. It was difficult getting into the Motel when coming from certain directions. This was the only negative issue we had and certainly doesn't reflect on the Motel itself

The carpet in the room was filthy. There was an outlet that we plugged a curling iron in and all the lights and TV went off. The shower head was cracked and water sprayed in your face. The breakfast items weren’t fresh. I’m being generous with the 2 because the staff were all very polite. We did inform the front desk of these issues when we left so hopefully it will be taken care of before they rent that room again. It was supposed to be a handicapped room.

Passable

Breakfast was good. On the level with nowadays continental breakfast. The parking is on inside court and not on the street. The room had 2 bars of soap. Nowadays, most of the hotels have bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash attached to the shower wall. No more need for little sample bottles of shampoo and conditioner. These are never enough if you stay for more than 1 night. And if you stay for 1 night only, they become a waste since not fully used and can't be reused.

I had to go into my email to call a different number that was provided and the connection was so bad and the service desk could barely understand me and they were lazy with their response. A few hours later, I went inside to the front desk to check in and they refused to let me due to being a local but they did not deny me beforehand or try to reach me and tell me that I couldn’t make a reservation since I’m a local and their website never said anything about explicitly allowing non locals. They didn’t even offer to work with me to issue a refund for the $109 I paid for my room/reservation, and when I asked about that after they refused me, the lady at the service desk was unprofessional and rudely dismissed me and didn’t even issue the refund with me while I was there in person and I was told “you’ll get your money back”. It has been two days since and I have not gotten any confirmation that I would get a refund. I am very upset and it’s not right to deny service after hours of my reservation being excepted and paid for with no refund. Completely unacceptable!
