Extended Stay America Suites Columbia Greystone

If you’re not familiar with Columbia SC and are going to visit U of SC just be aware this is not somewhere parents and families normally stay. There were unfortunately dead gnats all over the beds and floors. There were also springs sticking out of the mattresses. The metal doors were peeling paint. Strong smell of marijuana throughout and several homeless people spending time in the parking lot. The one worker that we encountered was a pleasant gentleman.

For extremely low price it meets expectations. Cold AC. Solid beds. Clean. Pretty much all you can ask at $60 a night.

Maybe the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To make matters worse, they let the parking lot blower guy operate at 8:30am on Sunday morning to ensure your stay is as bad as it can get.

Very poor

After driving 14 hours and pulling into the parking lot, prior to even checking in it was nice to be greeted by a couple of junkies in the parking lot. Despite seeing this we were tired so decided to check in anyway. Gentleman at the front counter I assume was trying to be nice, but the language barrier was so thick that’s really just a guess. We got the keys and got to the room, kicked my shoes off and my feet immediately stuck to the sticky floor. Decided that would be a great time for a shower and stepped into a tub full of mold with no complementary shampoo, conditioner or body wash. As we looked out our window to our room where there were picnic tables set up, they were taken up by the junkies and homeless people. There were empty baggies, a spoon that had residue on it and trash EVERYWHERE!! Not to mention these people repeatedly knodding out all afternoon after they did their drugs!! Do I need to continue?? This place was awful!!

I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. This is by far the worst stay. The only positive from this trip is that they were not like other hotels in the area who jacked their rates up for those traveling to move their kids into the University. But, I think that if the rate was any more than what it was, I would have preferred to sleep in my car.

It’s a section 8 welfare hotel. I would never use this app again because of what you sent or recommended to me It’s a section 8 extended stay . Kids running around people screaming and yelling

Location only. Because it was near the columbia zoo. The lobby smelled liked cigarette smoke, the halllways to room was dirty, the bad part was the sheets were not clean!!! And the trash can was filthy. I want be staying there again

The room was spacious, nothing was stocked in the kitchen but supposedly available from the front desk. The room could have been a bit cleaner especially the floors.
