Sleep Inn & Suites Columbus near Fort Benning

I liked the area. It was really quiet and there’s lots of food and store options nearby. When I got there I was given a room that hadn’t even been cleaned yet. There was no hot water whatsoever, and the halls have a smell.

There was trash piled up at entrance. My door to my room had to be jerked open. There was no hot water for shower.

The beds were super comfy. The pool was very clean. The breakfast needs attention, bad fruit, juice machine out of order. The ice machine was also out of order. When we asked for a couple of towels, we were told there was a shortage. They had only three in the room and we had four guests.

It was fine. I didn’t have any issues for the most part. Breakfast was ok,pool was ok, a little small but fine. No complaints for the price. I would stay again.

The room was clean and very quiet. The hot breakfast was nice. I would definitely return here.

Will never stay here again....

The hotel was clean, the pool was clean. The problem was many things were broken. Of the 2 washers and 2 dryers one set was out of order. Pool lounge chairs were all torn and not able to be used, one of the charcoal grills was broken and laying on the ground. The breakfast was sub par. Bread and bagels but no toaster, gravy but no biscuits. No one came by with fresh linens, towels, or toilet paper. Tv had a blue cast to the whole screen. There is a lot of upkeep that needs to be done.

There was some mold in my room and they didn’t restock the shampoo when they cleaned the room. I asked if they could do some housekeeping and they didn’t. It’s really close to fort benning which is what I needed. I recommend for the price

We had roaches in our room. The bathroom was filthy. He had to ask for it to be cleaned and another room and they would not accommodate. I am asking for some kind of compensation.

Pros: None to report. Cons: Housekeeping: Practically non-existent. Cleaning services were extremely poor throughout the entire stay. Cleanliness: Common areas and room surfaces were visibly filthy and poorly maintained. Pest Issue: Discovered cockroaches in the room, which is completely unacceptable for basic health and sanitation standards. Overall Rating: 1/5 Stars Details: I cannot recommend this hotel based on my recent stay. The cleanliness standard across the entire property was atrocious. Housekeeping failed to clean the room properly, leaving surfaces dirty and neglected. To make matters worse, I found cockroaches inside the room. Management needs to address their pest control and housekeeping staff immediately, as these conditions are a clear health hazard. Avoid staying here until severe improvements are made. When I reported the pest issue to the front desk, the staff showed zero accountability or empathy. The ladies at the desk dismissively claimed they would only get around to handling it "if they could," using the excuse that they had "too many rooms to manage." Bugs in a room are a serious health hazard, not an optional maintenance item to deal with whenever it's convenient. Between the unsanitary conditions and the defensive, dismissive attitude of the staff, this was an absolute nightmare experience. Do not stay here. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel. Benning. The room itself was clean, but the top dresser drawer had hair in it, the microwave was nasty, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, no liner in the ice bucket and no cups. The refrigerator smelled bad and had not been wiped out. When my daughter went downstairs to get ice and cups, the desk clerk was on her personal phone and sent my daughter to the kitchen to get ice and cups.

The location Well let just say that the staff was very rude. Turns out that I leave to my sons Graduation at Fort Benning around 7:30 a.m. we decide to just put our bags already in the truck but my husband stays in the room around 10:20 a cleaning lady goes in and starts cleaning and mind you my husband is in the bathroom this lady opens the door to the bathroom proceeds to tell my husband "you aren't supposed to je here anymore" Hello it was just 10:20 we paid till 11 in no time did I go or call the front desk to let them know we were checking out!!!!... so I got there around 10:25 I get a call to the room asking me what am I still doing there so I did cuss and said because I can it ain't 11 yet so she was like ya'll had left I proceed to let her know I LEFT MAMM BUT MY HUSBAND STAYED!!! She argued and said I am going up I was just gonna change into something comfortable due to that we had a long way back home. So as we were exiting the room here she comes so I yelled to her saying it was rude of them to just go in the room like that and walk in on my husband so she was like you had left I said I DID BUT MY HUSBAND STAYED!!! and we paid 50 dollars extra for that 1 hr we had got there early. So of course I was fixing to stay till 11 if possible but we left at 10:30. So RUDE not because one person leaves and they decide to pack everything up so we CAN LEAVE AT A DECENT TIME means we left in no point in time did I let them know I we were leaving the facilities!! And there was roaches as well
