Very nice comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean and well maintained rooms. Quaint feel. Safe and well lit complex. Booked room with Priceline/bookings.com on-linefor $100.88,.. but then Valley wouldn't honor the booking even with a confirmation number confirmed and I showed them the screen-shot from my phone I took with the confirmation number given. They charged my CHASE debit/credit card $192 then another $33 more for a two bed room "upgrade" like we had thought we had already over-paid for. So $212 total draining my checking account AND my wallet and my partners pockets too, for a less than 9 hour stay since we had to be out by 11:00am . (after being told NO after asking to be able to check out at noon for a late check-out since it was about 2:00am by the time we got checked in).. First they said our "reservation" must be at Motel 6 just down the road. So before we were able to even check in we had to walk down the road to Motel 6 , where we were told our reservation WAS with the Valley Hotel, not them and they were booked-up full that night anyways. Since Paul and myself were both on foot and it was very late and after midnight; we had no choice but pay whatever they demanded we pay them (which was all the cash we had in our pockets and everything In my checking account too). After thinking we were getting a fair price booking online @$100.88 only to arrive by the last running bus, and then be extorted for all the money in my account, and then all the cash we had together as well... and then not be able to check out at noon like I thought they would at least allow us to do ! Management called us at 9:45am to tell us 10:30 was checkout but they gave us till 11:00 no later! And they called again at 10:50am to make sure we would be out then. I am recovering from an accident where I sustained a broken neck and was looking forward to soaking in a warm bath ?. By the time my friend had had a shower, I didn't have enough time for a bath OR a shower; I didn't get to sleep-in, or even bathe at all!

Closed to restaurants The bed was old and there was a lot of noise coming from bottom of the door, missing guard.

Big room and kitchenette. Nice people working there. Close to good restaurants. Watch your receipts!!! They charged a double deposit but in all fairness I got it back they were receptive and polite.

Passable

Absolutely nothing. Reception nearly refused to let me check in outside of the “check in window”, then was not available for checking out for nearly twenty minutes. The sheets were stained, the mini-fridge did not work, and the room was freezing cold with no working heater.

The guy working the front desk, I can't remember his name but he was great, very respectful, helpful and made my stay comfortable. He knew me by name after the first day and worked with me when I was late with my rent which isn't something most places would do. And always made sure I had everything I needed, he even came out of HIS OWN pocket when the vending machine took my money. He's the only reason I would return other than the rooms being large and having somewhat of a kitchen with a door to separate it from the sleeping area this place needs some work. The maintenance man told somebody what room I was in, and it was somebody that I did not want knowing. Also they kept my deposit since I checked out at 12:30 instead of 12. Lastly the whole month that I stayed there the price never went down so I paid $124 a day for 28-29 days and a maid only came by once

Customer service lady at front desk was extremely kind and helpful. She did an excellent job checking us in really quickly and that was a plus considering itd been a long day to begin with. Fridge could've been cleaned out a little better but overall I was pleased and would/will be back again.

What a dive. Very little parking. Needed to put a cone out to reserve a small parking spot. Did not have any reservation from booking.com upon my arrival. Luckily, I had the information on my phone. Told they were open 24 Hours. They were not. Needed to secure the room without entering the office. Though a glass window. Could not wait to leave. Went the next morning to drop off the key. Office window was closed. ??

The staff was awesome. I also liked how I was accommodated and able to get a late check out without any problems or up charge. The hotel has a no dog policy but I was honest told the gentleman checking me in I have a small registered service dog with me. He was very kind and asked if I could show him my service dog reg card. I told him I was not sure where it was because I had moved out unexpectedly but I will look for it. I ended up finding it hours later and brought it to the office to show him he was very kind to lete check in on my word. I had to go buy ice, no ice maker, no coffee pot either. It could have been cleaner. Food spatter on wall. Bathtub had a few June Bugs. Figure they flew in from outside since none of the windows had screens. Room needed a good cleaning. Cobwebs, dirty window seals. Lots of dust not just recent. I clean houses so I notice things that others may not. But it was basic cleaning in areas that should be cleaned everyday.

If you need a place to stay in Concord, this is a decent motel to stay at. It's family-owned, and they try really hard to make their guests feel at home.
