The hotel is right next to the train tracks and the train blares horn every time it passes. I got no sleep! The tv was not working and I called the desk from the room phone and it just rang and rang with no answer. I tried calling from cell phone and same thing no answer. I had to go down to the desk and the person was in the back and came out and said ringer must have been low and she would send someone up. Man came and said they just don't have the channels anymore that I was clicking on the guide to watch. The channel I started watching went black the next time a train passed and couldn't be bothered going through trouble of leaving room to go to desk again since they don't answer the phones. I would not stay here again.

The front desk manager and staff were very helpful. Everything was really clean (bathrooms, pool area, coffee area, halls, elevator). I really appreciate the effort they make to provide a clean environment. I haven’t enjoyed a hotel stay this much in a long time. I have no complaints. This property is now my go to when visiting family in Philadelphia.

Very friendly staff. Great parking, easy to get in and out. Pretty clean.

Unless you like hearing the train that passes the property at night and early am stay away! Highly disappointed that I travelled a long day to check in at night just to hear a passing train multiple times during my one day stay. Now I see why the room came with earplugs l!

I had previously called the hotel when making the reservation to specifically ask about using the pool and the lady on the phone indicated that the pool was only available from 6 AM to 10 PM or something like that and I said but that check out was 12 pm. I was upset that if I arrived late at night to check in, I would only be able to use the pool in the morning before having to check out. Upon arrival, Roy offered me a complimentary bottle of water and chips, asked if I was a rewards member at Marriott and I am, entered my information and then asked if I would like a complementary 4 pm late check out. I really appreciate people like Roy and I hope he is recognized for his strong level of customer service and appreciation. Thanks!

The check in started with down systems .. no keys could be issued.. the hallways & lobby was hot! No air… The general manager was NASTY & RUDE when asked about the no key situation.. There guests smoking WEED in their room close to our room.. we smelled it down the hall and inside the room! Went to the lobby and they gave us a new room.. a downgrade from a King room to a Queen room.. Floors were sticky and dirty.. NO NEW TOWELS were issued in our 4 day stay! Called CORPORATE on this hotel and filed a complaint! The general manager called apologizing for the inconvenience and offered us a “BIG DISCOUNT “ on our next stay there… my answer to that is NO THANKS! I was very disappointed in this hotel because we always stay at the RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT and it’s always great stay.. But when we stay in PHILADELPHIA again it will be at a MARRIOTT hotel ONLY! THIS HOTEL WAS A BIG BUST!!

The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was clean & the breakfast was good. The property has a little bit of wear but it's still very nice & well maintained!

Clean spacious room layout Na

The staff was pleasant and professional. The room was clean. The property could use some serious updating/maintence, but my stay was enjoyable.

The one problem I encountered was concerning the key card. I have not received a key to my room, due to some technical issues.

The location was ok. I have a problem with this booking both from the platform and with the property. We booked via Booking.com. On arrival we informed by the man at the desk that he could not find my booking. I showed him my pre-paid confirmation and I had been in contact with them about parking via the app. He advised “there was nothing he could” do and sent me away to contact booking. I spent 45 minutes on hold and was eventually advised by booking that all they could do was send an email and if no response then come back to us by email not a phone call. This presupposes I have connectivity while traveling. While on hold my husband - a hospitality expert and a lecturer at Glion identified the shift manager who eventually downloaded the reservation and checked us in an hour later. Very inconvenient to our plans for the day. She was the only bright spot. The room was very noisy and the house keeping sloppy not up to standard for the Brand on offer. The manager did not accept personal feedback about his staff needing training on managing confirmed reservations. This was made my problem when it is obviously a communication issue between Booking and the Property. I should have been accommodated and not sent away. He tried to blame booking. Despite the booking eventually being honoured I am now being emailed (I eventually found WIFi) by the platform 2 days later advising they still cannot contact the property and want to issue a refund as to their mind I obviously went elsewhere. I had to rush off to an event after getting to my room and did not check my emails until two day later. The emails I have been sent are from a no-reply email address so I can’t even advise them of developments without incurring time and money calling them. Poor service all around it is a shame because only one person seemed to know how to treat guests as a guest and not a problem.

Nothing Overpriced

Clean and neat. Nice staff, good breakfast options. The water in the hot tub was quite gross but otherwise loved this location. Even with it being next to a SEPTA track it was quite peaceful. Sound machine and ear plugs on the night stand were a great touch. We would definitely stay here and other residence inn locations again.

Broken table, peeling leather from chair.

Nothing. It needs a renovation It was dated all around. Worst of all it is located right beside train tracks and EVERY SINGLE train passing by honks multiple times at it passes crossings that are just a few yards away. The windows don’t seal well enough to insulate from this noise, so sleeping after 5/6 am is very difficult. The hotel offers ear plugs as a ‘convenience’ - it’s not convenient!
-
The room felt damp, and there was a wet spot on the floor. Felt pretty rundown.
