Comfort Inn & Suites Lake Norman

Easy access from interstate My room smelled very bad(like body odor). I told the front desk and thought maybe someone would come check and move me to a different room. But I was ignored and just had to deal with it. It was very unpleasant. I asked for a receipt and was told since I booked through a third-party they couldn’t give me a receipt. I was also told there was a $25 pet fee and when I got home and checked my bank account, there was a charge from the hotel for $33.

The property is old and outdated. The room was a nice size, it was called a business suite. But no bedding for the pull out couch, called the front desk and was told to come downstairs and get it. After driving all day from Florida and arriving around 10:00pm. Also not enough towels in room, went to the front desk in the morning and was given one set and was told that I had to wait for housekeeping to come around. Went downstairs at 8:45 and the breakfast was already put away even though the clerk the night before said 9:00am it was over. Have stayed here many times over the years when visiting family and the hotel has gone down dramatically. Won’t stay there again.

The room was nice and breakfast was good. My card stopped working. It took the night employee 3 attempts to get me into my room.

Property is very nice. The location to the highway was fantastic. If you’re there to enjoy Lake Norman, find a place on the North side of the lake. Not much to do on this South side. There is. Great restaurant right next door, Mac’s sped shop. Great food. The hotel was very kind to let us eat our take it in the breakfast room that was closed. I didn’t like that they would give me a receipt when I checked out. They said they just take the keys back. I felt the bed was uncomfortable. Kind of hard, but my husband was fine with it. Refrigerator was not cold at all. Freezer was at a fridge temp. Not good.

We.will be back. Very clean. Convenient access back to highway and plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.

The staff was the only good thing about this hotel. Everyone was nice and friendly The room was disgusting. There was blood on the carpet, hair wads left in the shower and what I can only assume was bodily fluids on the bedskirts. We paid $380 dollars for one night in this “family suite.” Don’t do it, don’t be like us.

Very close to the highway. Easy to stop on a road trip. Pool was open and clean. Check in was easy. Air conditioner worked great The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly. We had two rooms reserved. Both rooms had dirt and markings on the wall. Hair and trash still left behind in the beds and in the couches and furniture.. felt the ICK staying here but we needed a place to sleep for the night on our road trip. There was a reason it was the least expensive option in the area. Definitely planned to stay elsewhere on our return trip home.

Overall room was good, breakfast was nice and the staff was helpful but amenities were awful. Internet was at its lowest speed and it kept disconnecting every 10min and I had to sign into portal multiple times to connect. There was no closet in the room.

Reviews were great, since we chose to stay here. The place is not very clean. The hallway edges haven't been vacuumed in a very long time. Place smells weird. Dusty overall. Bathroom mirror splattered. Hair dryer didn't work. They did supply one after we went downstairs to ask. Missing lightbulbs. Very tired looking room. We stayed in the business suite. What a joke! Felt pretty icky overall.
