We love staying at this Hampton Inn! It is conveniently located and always very clean. The staff is extremely friendly as well.

The employees I encountered - front desk clerks and kitchen staff - were incredibly friendly and diligent in their duties. They made sure breakfast foods and the coffee urns were stocked and not run out. Coffee was actually very good. The TV channels were limited and the small dressers I usually see in hotel rooms were missing or were different.

We had a great stay!

This hotel was great! The property was clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. The room was great. It was clean and quiet. Location was great.

Location The eggs were disgusting But i guess that is expected. There was a long hair in the tub. There were no dressers or drawers. So odd. Had to keep all clothes in suitcase. The “closet” was a jutted awning across the wall behind drapes. You had to hang any clothes facing you. Again, odd.

Cook breakfast sausage links a little longer.

Clean facilities and room

Family friendly. We travelled with an 18 month old who was keeping us busy. Everything we needed was available and ready.

It was all very nice. The one suggestion I would make is exhaust fans in the bathroom so the mirror doesn’t fog up when you take a shower.

Overall great place to stay

Free parking; clean room; friendly staff; and breakfast are always available! Lake Norman is a beautiful spot to split our trip to Hilton Head. We’ve done it for many years and have not been disappointed.

Location: a few yards off a loud and busy I-77. Rooms at back get a 7/24 noise bath. If you stay, make sure you're on the front side. BTW, if you're coming in via I-77, the exit is confusing and crowded with construction all the way to the hotel. Be careful. The good news, not very busy, room seemed OK, breakfast was nice and hotel is close to exit (see above). Room had extra amenities (microwave & frig). However the bath room door is a "barn door" style sliding door. There are no fans in the "bathroom", so odors linger. The door is 16" from one of the two beds. So don't expect any acoustical privacy if you're in the first bed and someone is using the toilet. The hotel has a policy: "SHEETS, BATH TOWELS, BED MAKE UP OR CLEAN ONLY EVERY OTHER DAY". That wasn't explained when we check in. The notice is a tiny sticker on the bottom right of the bathroom mirror. We discovered this on returning the first night. Yep, it's their "policy". The third night the towels were changed, trash emptied but no fresh linens or beds made up - for entire stay, no fresh sheets. So same sheets, unmade, 3 days. Unknowingly, I sliced hand on the mini-frig. So there were small blood stains on sheets for the entire stay. Of course, we called the desk. Besides "sorry about that", no solution was offered. When I suggested some compensation for the lack of cleaning, the front desk said to "take it up with Expedia" since we didn't book directly with them.

Took two days to get fresh towels or the garbage empty. Turns out that there's a small sign in the lower right hand corner of the bathroom mirror that states something about the towels. The bed linens were, I hope, not a policy. Odd that whoever "cleaned" the room the second day, changed the towels but not the linens. It's really disappointing to return from a hot work day and find an unkept room. The third day, we called the desk. Besides "sorry about that", no solution was offered. When I suggested we should be compensated, the front desk told us to take it up with Expedia since we didn't book directly with them. By the way, I sliced my hand on the mini-frig trying to open it in the night. Slept three nights with blood on my sheets. The back rooms of the hotel are only yards from the very loud I-77 and the off ramp from it is under some serious construction. Fortunately, we were on the front side.

An amazing hotel! The staff was very welcoming and nice even though I accidentally set off the smoke alarm in my room by spraying alcohol. Their smoke alarms are very sensitive. I did not see the signs until after the fact. The rooms were roomy and I loved the quite sliding bathroom door. There are plenty of USB and electric plugs in the room. Having a refrigerator and microwave in the room is always nice. Beds were great. Nice area. There is some construction happening on the street in front of the hotel, but not a problem. The food was good, especially the smoked sausage. I would like to see some shredded cheese on the food bar to sprinkle on eggs and a microwave. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
