The Hotel@Dayton South

Plenty of parking, with spaces close to the entrance. Noisey people outside late at night two nights in a row. TV pretty much useless.

The AC went out on the hottest week of the year. It was 94 degrees outside and 85 in the room at 12. I slept under a wet towel with the door open to the hallway because I was too tired to go downstairs and deal with it and then told the front desk staff the next morning and she asked for my room number and said she would send someone to fix it. I got back at 2am the next night and it was not fixed. front desk said that it must have been forgotten to be written down and they would do it. I watched them write it into a book under the desk. I barely slept at all, and spent all day out of the room because it was too hot to stay in. The third night it STILL was unbearable and I went down to try to check out and get refunded and was quickly given a newer, cleaner room on the 4th floor that was so cold I almost cried. It was a relevation. Like man discovering snow for the first time or something. Still, I would never stay here again.

We have stayed at this property before and sadly over the past couple of years the quality of service and the condition of the property have gone downhill. It took us almost an hour to check-in to our rooms and we were a little disturbed that the side door was unlocked all day and at night. No key card was needed to access that door. I am unsure we will chose to stay again.

Check-in was easy. Staff were very friendly. Our room was nice. Everything very clean. Breakfast was delicious, nice variety. The morning ladies were very nice. Pool was nice, clean and not super busy. Could use more than 1 table and maybe a few more chairs. Overall stay was great.

Breakfast was really good with meat, eggs, potatoes, waffles and friendly staff. Did not use the pool but it looked nice. Convenient to restaurants

I never checked in - had my travel person cancel. I called 2 days in advance and then on arrival at 845 pm they could not find my reservation I waited 20 minutes. The 2 people at front desk said they did not have a room ready; they had to go check to see if a room was clean. What no room ready to check in? There is no excuse, so I left. I looked around and the lobby was dull and outdated, so I was concerned about staying in this place.

Need a smoking area and you need more places to sit around the property then it would be perfect!!

Stayed for 1 week with no complaints!! A few small issues were dealt with promptly. Will stay again!!

We stayed at this hotel due to the good reviews but were disappointed. The hotel was dirty and loud.

It is an older property. Clean bedroom and indoors. Concerned about security. Anyone could come in through the back doors and access the rooms. Okay for the price.

Everything was perfect

The check-in process was easy and there was no pesky deposit required. We even got a free upgrade! Ashley at the front desk was very helpful, as well as Amy who handled the breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean. Things were unplugged so we initially thought fixtures were broken. The bathroom area was much nicer than other places we have stayed. There was clear presence of maintenance on hand who were diligently working on projects.
