Tropical Winds Oceanfront Hotel

I will never return to this establishment nor bring my family to this establishment ever again. The staff are very unprofessional when it comes to helping me and my family they talked to us with sarcasm and disrespect.they forced me and my family to end our vacation after there maintenance staff failed to perform the job duties that is being asked while being disrespectful and verbally threatening me and my family with jujitsu after being called out for failing to fix a leak in our room and tried to blame my wife of creating the problem. The staff there are rude and disrespectful

The hotel was convenient not far from things. The pool was great unfortunately at night, though the light was broken inside the pool so once it got dark, you couldn't see anything on the patio or in the pool but other than that, it was fine.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times over the last 30 years. The hotel is starting to show it's age, but is still exactly what I want. Ocean front with a kitchen. Outside pool. And one of the few indoor pools on the strip for those cool or bad weather days. Service was great and the beds were comfortable.

The property needs a total renovation & deep clean. I seen them replacing furniture but this hotel needs a lot more work than just replacing furniture. The ac in rooms can’t keep up with the Florida heat.

The staff was amazing as always. It was completely booked for the holiday weekend and they handled it wonderfully. The made every accommodation they could. I highly recommend staying here

Very outdated room. Sand in the bed when we arrived.

The poolside and the ocean view was the only good things at this hotel. Room and facial not clean, staff not friendly. I most likely would not stay again

The TV was not a smart TV and had minimum cable channels. It just felt like the unit needed some upgrades. The bathroom had a nasty leaky spot above the shower head that was black and looked like a piece was going to fall off. It was not big, but it just made ya feel icky being the shower. The towels and sheets/comforters were old and rough. A few upgrades and it would be perfect!

Needless to say I will not return here. God forbid there is another mistake I don't ever want to be treated that way again. I really hope they don't treat all of their clients that way.

The TVs in the penthouse didn’t work, coffee maker was dirty, not enough towels in the room, we couldn’t adjust the water temperature to the shower and the shower knob was broken. Also the pool was dirty.

This is a great little mom and pop beach hotel. Only complaint, the pool is open until 11pm and there are ZERO lights. Like, it's pitch black out there hahaha

Great hotel people were nice and very great but the little cafe they have i would not recommend to anyone, do not order a omelette whatsoever when i cook a omelette i chop everything up and not put the whole sausage or bacon in it not worth the money to go to the cafe

The room itself for some reason was giving me severe allergies. My nose kept running and the longer I stood in that room, the worse it got until at one point it looked like I caught a cold with the amount of times I was sneezing. The pool is not lit up at night. I consider that a safety hazard considering I still saw people including small children in that pool at night. The laundry room is absolutely garbage and is not maintained at all. The moment I went inside that room, I was hit with a nasty stench of moldy water that was inside one of the washers. Who knows how long that water was sitting inside that washer. The only other washer that was still working was filled with someone’s nasty underclothes completely unattended as God knows how long all that was sitting in there. I had to use an outside laundromat to get my clothes washed and dried. Everything else including the staff, amenities at the front lobby, and on-site cafe are great however. I would overall recommend this hotel but keep my complaints in mind if you decide to stay here.
