Tropical Winds Oceanfront Hotel

I would like to start off by saying I am a budget traveler. I do not want to pay outrageous prices for a fancy hotel room when we are only there to shower and sleep. I don't need fancy. I just want clean and comfortable. And they do say you get what you pay for. But I've gotten cheaper rooms on the beach that were cleaner. The beds were comfortable. We arrived at check in at 4pm. Our rooms were not ready. The guy at the desk had a half gallon of vodka behind the desk. When we got to our room there was mold all over one of the walls they had painted over. The outdoor shower did not work so washing our feet from the ocean/sand was not possible. The employees kept telling us they had someone supposed to be coming to fix it tomorrow. That didn't happen. Another guest said it was the same way the last time they were there. It was right on the ocean. So convenience was great. Beach was not overloaded. The toilet clogged the first day, from normal usage, and we were handed a plunger to take care of ourselves. I would probably not stay at this location again.

Love this place

Only issue we had was people leaving their pets in the rooms while out and the dogs were barking so loud. Very pet friendly resort. It should be called the Pet Resort. If you are not a pet lover like me don't stay here, if you are you will fit right in.

Being that my family has been here before with no issues we felt at ease going back. A lot has changed within several months and this will be the last time staying at this hotel. The room had bugs, the bathroom was not clean(tub), the sliding door was opened upon entering the room for the first time, and the sofa was stained. I’m not sure if it’s new management or what…

Location, amenities, Lack of full size towels and stale sodas at the front.

Very clean & the location is nice by the ocean , staff are great & helpful

Ocean frontage Wasn’t a very clean room. And some of the guests were sloppy drunks and extremely loud

No free breakfast and t.v. display needs to be brighten

It had bugs and the door key stop working that caused us to have to go downstairs many times.

Horrible stay there were worms in my room bag worms they were hanging all over the ceiling barley visible at first but a lot of them Dirty to say the least

Probably one of the most misleading properties I’ve stayed at based on the photos on the website versus the condition of the property in reality. Room was ridiculously dirty, grime all over the floors, bathroom shower knob was literally detached from the wall. Fairly nice people work there, but would never recommend this place.

The ocean view and restaurant for breakfast and lunch Needs an update but still ok

No food, not clean, no room service, room had pink mold and a broken bathroom door.

Location

The room seemed clean, there were 3 bugs in our bath tub. The water was next to impossible to turn on. But it did have a beautiful view!!

Close to the beach. The pictures did not match the description of the hotel. We had to wash our sheets which I will always do and clean our bathrooms.

Hotel staff was so rude, no towels for the room and never had any when ask No pool towels the container always empty. Entrance smelled of weed and hotel .no blanket for bed thin bedspread, mattress was hard. Won't be back.
