Tropical Winds Oceanfront Hotel

The room seemed clean, there were 3 bugs in our bath tub. The water was next to impossible to turn on. But it did have a beautiful view!!

This room had black mold on 2 walls, and was very very run down. We had to leave, we are still waiting for a refund.

Positives, it was right on the beach and we had ocean view, staff was helpful and parking was free. They said there was breakfast snd restaurant on site but did not use either. We were out early and in late.

Room was clean. Not sure I like that they charged my card at midnight prior to my check in. I also prepaid for 1 night and they charged the entire amount. None of that was explained during booking. Multiple times we requested the coffee pods and they were out. Left us stuck buying it from the Cafe. Otherwise, it was a decent room with a great view. Peaceful

It was clean and well kept. It is an older property but exactly what I expected. Elevators where smooth and large and clean. It is a smaller property so it wasn't so crowed. Pool was clean and inviting. The views were spectacular. Great value.

My room was clean, they need to upgrade the sliding glass door to the balcony.

This place looks nothing like the pictures. The room was gross. My family and I didn’t even stay the night we left a few hours after checking in.

Mold in the on ceiling& walls, rust on refrigerator door and stove, balcony looked a mess trash all over, we asked for and ocean view room and we got ocean bush, ocean white wall, I ask the lady at the desk can we move to a higher floor, she said no we can’t put you on a high floor. She could have said we can down grade your room so you can get a better view, being as this we book ocean front, the side doors not working was a big inconvenience! it’s sad when you step out on the ground floor balcony all you see is trash& Cigarette butts, but it states clearly no smoking on balconies lol that was the worst view, just nasty I couldn’t even stand outside, someone needs to clean behind those bushes The only plus was being next to the beach, close stores and restaurants. That room should not be considered ocean nothing cause you can’t see nothing from that view.

Staff rude, refused to turn on pool light when safety concerns were an issue, could not accommodate with plastic utensils, had to pay an additional cost, not informative. Over all I will never stay at this hotel again

The hotel was fine for a quick beach trip. About what I expected for the price.

There was bed bugs on the beds. The floors were dirty. The handle on the sliding glass door was broken. There was dust on the ceilings. There was no TV remote. However, they did give me a full refund. I would definitely recommend anyone thinking of staying here to check the beds thoroughly like lift up the mattresses and check the box springs before going to bed.

We spent one overnight here. Myself and my 18 year old granddaughter. This hotel is older and dated. My granddaughter was ready to take a shower around 10 pm and there was no water. The handle on the faucet was broke. No maintenance person was available. The gal at the desk came up and checked it. She later said we could move to another room however this other room had no refrigerator. And I really needed the refrigerator for ice for my foot which is broke. So we moved to another floor at 11 pm so we could have a shower. The manager wasn’t on site and nobody reached out to us. Additionally there was a $8 resort fee. I would hardly call this hotel a resort.
