Historic Franklin Hotel

Great location and Legends the restaurant was great as well.

Super friendly and helpful staff and a very cool, historic ambience. We loved the visit and would definitely stay again.

The personnel at the front desk were friendly and informative. The recommendation for a restaurant proved to be spot on and the food was delicious. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I do, however, wish the pillows weren’t so large as it proved to be difficult to stay asleep, but that is just a personal preference. The city of Deadwood is all about casinos, which was surprising. Every single store and restaurant had slot machines. The buildings are historic and worth the walk around town to see them.

Great views of downtown deadwood, great location with live action cowboy scenes in the street in front of the hotel. Great Vibe and an excellent steakhouse(Legend Steakhouse) in the basement of the hotel

Location They didn’t seem to have our booking (not sure if a Booking.com issue or a hotel issue). Despite having a crib confirmed on our Booking.com reservation, the hotel was unable to provide a crib and did not provide any options.

Everything about my day was good

The room itself was very clean. We understood that remodeling had just happened which we were not aware of. So I guess I assumed we would have vintage furnishings and the room was the exact opposite--very up to date. The parking off-site like 2 blocks away is somewhat inconvenient. We found parking behind the hotel marked for Franklin Hotel Guests. Then when we were checking in the clerk was watching to mini-buses park back there also; he expressed that they would have to move. And we would too! That parking was "a couple of blocks" away. We were given directions and either we misunderstood or something because we drove around for over half an hour trying to find the lot we were allowed to park in, stopped again at the hotel to get directions, at which point we found it immediately. Just inconvenient when there is parking in the rear.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful. The building and decor is stunning and very upscale. Our room was small but very quaint and quiet just as I expected. Loved it! Nothing
