Great! Loved it and would highly recommend.

My first time go to this hotel and it was nice and clean
-
Staff was rude and had no patience when we asked questions. They seemed rushed and overwhelmed no smiles just serious faces at the bar when I first walked in to check in overall bad service. Paid a great amount of money to sat and I had to pay for a cup of coffee. The Marriott and Hoilday inn provide breakfast and free coffee for all guests.

One mile easy walk to beach. We walked there every day. Also directly across street from Del Mar fairground. Hotel itself is fine! Needs a little updating - our room was spacious. Suite was perfect size for family with kids. TVs are old school- no smart TVs. Paper guides for local channels. And our phone in our room didn’t work at all to call front desk etc. also there is only one elevator on each side. Not a small hotel so our walk with all our stuff from our car to the elevator and back to our room was LONG. Was completely miserable with two kids when we got in late. If you don’t want to lug your stuff FAR I would suggest asking for a first floor room or room near elevator

This hotel is a little older than expected.

Check-in was easy but accessing room from carport with luggage was not easy
-
I did not like that there was only one elevator on each side of the hotel next to the lobby. After using the elevator to get to your floor you would half to walk half way around the building to get to the room. When you wanted to leave you would have to walk back half way around the building to use the elevator to get back down only to have to walk half way around the building to get to the parking lot

Great hotel

If you have walking issues, this is not the hotel for you. There are small elevators located on the ends of the buildings and it is up to you to walk out to them. It is very far. We ended up finding stairs to haul things up and down. Barely saw any staff there. Hotel check-in had a line with one person working when we arrived in the later evening. C'mon Rick and Kathy...time for some updates. Looking more like a motel than what you usually put out.
