Del Mar Beach Hotel

The rooms are extremely clean. Beds very comfortable. The bathroom products are fabulous. The staff are outstanding. The welcome drink was an unexpected surprise:) Location is right on the beach.

While I think this may be an older hotel, it cannot be beat. It was the only place I could find that was actually on the beach. Right next door to two amazing restaurants, Poseidon and Jakes. Both of which have prime sunset views. The employees were very nice and accommodating. With a room, you also get beach chairs, an umbrella and towels. How great is that? When I go back to San Diego, I will absolutely be staying there again!

Staff were friendly and helpful. The property and rooms were very clean. Excellent patio area with a great view of the beach and ocean.

The location is great. The rooms are somewhat remodeled, but you definitely need to bring a dehumidifier with you because everything in the room is wet, including all the bedding. The temperature really didn’t work. He had to keep it super cold to keep the humidity out of the air and the lights just shine right through the windows because their wood blinds and they don’t really shut tight so it’s pretty light in the room makes it hard to sleep. We ended up leaving early because we were getting no sleep. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear the TV and everyone talking, but the location is amazing.

Parking is probably the biggest challenge. When I first arrived around 4pm on weekday, I couldn’t find any available spaces in the hotel parking lot, and there were only a few street parking spots nearby. I ended up getting lucky and found a spot at the hotel. The staff did mention that if I couldn’t find one, they would cover the cost of street parking, although I’m not sure if they meant the full amount. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the location.

Great location with almost everything within walking distance! Our 3rd year visiting. Lots of sand. Leave a broom and dustpan in each room for occupants.

This is a charming, delightful hotel directly on Del Mar Beach. They offered us a glass of sparkling rosé at check-in, there’s a 24 seven self-serve espresso and latte machine, they have reasonably priced beautiful croissants in the lobby along with other snacks and drinks to purchase. The room is stylish and very comfortable with multiple places to sit and a nice breezy feel. Poseidon restaurant right next-door was a great seafood option directly on the beach. The neighborhood is very nice. Parking is included in the adjacent parking lot with no additional charge. We had a wonderful stay!

One of the sweetest places we stayed on our1,800 mile road trip!! The girl at the front desk i forgot her name but she was amazing. 25 year old beautiful black hair.

This hotel is so amazing. It’s hard to put into words. It’s right on the ocean amazing views restaurants next-door great surroundings. People are amazing. Hotel is so clean. Management has really done an excellent job !! We will be back.

The from desk staff were amazing it was a single male manger who in fact,he was inhospitable extremely abrasive authoriian. when one is paying luxury prices. you expect a mimal amount of courstsey and hospitality.
