Newport Resort

Great for family gatherings. The community space with the patio & grill was great for our family reunion! The resort accommodated all ages especially the little ones! Walking distance to Egg Harbor was a plus too!

Enjoyed the salt water pool and hot tub. Room are dated but clean. Loved how close it is to downtown egg Harbor and the outdoor concert venue.

Everything was wonderful! Definitely will stay at the resort again!

Location was convenient to other destinations. We will definitely return.

Newport is in Egg Harbor and close to restaurants, shops, brewery & distillery. Bikes available while staying. Indoor and outdoor pool. Newly updated Master Bathroom (work still in progress July 2026). New outdoor patio furniture and fire tables. Close to 9 hole golf course!

There is no free breakfast included! The resort's own website does not list a breakfast included anywhere. I confirmed with them that they have not provided a free breakfast for over six years since before COVID. For some reason hotels.com continues to list this property with a "free breakfast" icon in the listing, but there is not. This obviously wasn't a deal-breaker for us but would have been nice to know going in as we would have planned differently. Otherwise, a great stay! Clean, well-maintained, nice to have amenities like free bikes to use, the pools and hot tub, and coffee station.

Excellent location. Very nice property. Nice fitness center which most properties don’t offer. We’re returning guests and will stay again!

We were assured the replacement room would be quiet. It wasn't. Every morning, staff did landscaping and cleanup work directly outside our window, starting early and making it hard to relax or sleep in. On top of that, the room had a persistent musty smell that made the stay even less comfortable. We made the best of it, but this was not the experience we paid for. The hotel failed to honor our booking, failed to communicate honestly, and failed to provide a room that matched what we were promised. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property to others.

Great location. Walking distance to downtown Egg Harbor. Great staff. Amenities are great. Great for families. Nice little store inside for basics. Would definitely stay again. An older hotel with in wall AC units that are loud and constantly running.

The room was large and well appointed. We were disappointed the pool was closed. Easy walk to downtown Egg Harbor.

Great location and everything we needed in a place to stay. WE used the inside and outside pools and hot tub and were more than pleased. The location is great with several great restaurants within walking distance! The unit was more than enough.. a bit dated but kept up well! We will return!

Floors were extremely dirty, the entire room needs a deep clean. Smelled of horrible food that lingered the entire time.

Wonderful and helpful front desk staff. They were incredibly helpful in keeping our agenda full of family adventures. We had a great stay. We will be back.

Our suite could use a new mattress and fitted sheet because one side had a large divot and the elastic on the sheet was so stretched out it wouldn’t stay on all night. We tried laying sideways the 2nd night so we could avoid one of having to sleep in the hole but that didn’t work well due to my height. My husband ended up stepping up and sleeping on that side our last 2 nights.

Excellent amenities, especially if you have children. Great pools and hot tub (super hot for me), sauna, outside pool is salt-water. A lot of towels and clean area, play area and video games, free bikes and table games, outside grills and a few playgrounds and seating. Rooms are large and well maintained regardless of age. Everything is clean and proper. Stuff is helpful. Whole place is relaxed, clean, comfy.

The suite was clean and the property is well maintained. The front desk staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. We were on the ground floor and could hear the guests in the suite upstairs walking/running around at 2am. That's definitely not the hotel's fault but it was difficult to sleep through. I'll ask for an upstairs suite next time.
